一、教学目标
1. 能根据听到的句子 It’s ... o’clock. It’s .../half past... It’s ... to ... It’s quarter past/ to...正确认读、指认时间,并能运用句型进行时间的描述。
2. 能听懂描述日常生活中与时间有关的句子,并根据描述找到对应的时间和图片。
3. 能简单描述自己的日常生活。
4. 能读懂email的信息内容,并能仿写一篇email给自己的好伙伴。
5. 能运用问句 How many English words can you write in a minute? How many animals can you draw? How many times can you bend your knees? How many times can you say? 等,相互交流自己一分钟内所能做的事情。
二、教学建议
1. Look,listen and learn。看一看,听一听,学一学。
Step l 老师通过猜谜语或游戏的方法引出单词clock,如:I have a good friend.
Guess, who is it? It has a round face. It has three hands. It can say “tick, tock, tick, tock”. Who is it?
Step 2 老师出示手中的钟,让学生观察钟表上的时间,并提出问题:What’s the time on the clock? 学生回答:It’s eight o’clock.让学生初步感知问答时间的句型。
Step 3 老师拨动钟,继续提问:What’s the time on the clock? 引导学生用past来回答时间:It’s five past eight.让学生练习此句。
Step 4 老师板书问句:What’s the time on the clock? 学生跟读、学说。
Step 5 老师出示钟表,请一名学生提问,并告知学生:15分钟除了可以用fifteen minutes来表示,还可以用quarter来表示,如:It’s quarter past eight.
Step 6 学生同桌活动,根据钟面的时间,练习对话:What’s the time on the clock? It’s … past eight.
Step 7 老师出示钟表,提问:What’s the time on the clock? 引导学生用to来回答:It’s quarter to nine.
Step 8 学生同桌活动,根据钟面的时间,练习对话:What’s the time on the clock?
Step 9 老师引导学生观察课本第20页上的钟面,找出规律:半点前用past,半点后用to。
Step 10 老师播放录音,学生跟读。
Step 11 学生利用自己带的钟表与同桌进行对话练习,老师巡视并加以指导。
Step 12 老师挑选2-3组学生在全班展示,并及时给予评价。

Step 8 老师鼓励学生用更多的句子描述自己的日常生活,学生再次在小组内交流。

4. Listen and fill in the correct numbers.听一听,填序号。
PAIRWORK双人活动
Step l 老师和学生自由对话,复习时间的用法,如: What’s the time? What time is it? What’s the time on the red/... clock?
Step 2 老师播放录音,学生根据录音顺序标号。
Step 3 老师再次播放录音,学生核对答案。
Step 4师生共同核对答案,可采取老师问、学生答的方式,如:What’s the time? It’s quarter to ten (on the yellow clock).
Step 5 学生在小组内操练对话,老师巡视并加以指导。
Step 6 老师挑选2-3组学生在全班展示,并及时给予评价。

5. Read the emails. Then write an email to your best friend.读一读,写一写。

Step 2 老师向学生介绍:Today we have two friends here. They write emails to each other.老师可展示一份email,让学生理解email就是电子邮件。
Step 3 学生快速阅读,找出两个孩子的名字并圈出来。老师带读名字的发音。

Step 6 学生阅读两封email的第二部分,完成表格。

Step 7 学生分别以Betty Lin和John Rosen的身份看表格进行复述。

Step 1 老师提出今天活动的主题:What can you do in a minute?
Step 2 老师用问题引出第一个活动:How many English words can you write in a minute? 老师控制时间,全班进行测试。学生根据测试结果可用多种句式作答,如:50. /50 words. / I can write 50 words in a minute.
Step 3 老师教授问句:How many English words can you write? 学生操练句型。
Step 4 学生同桌活动,练习对话: How many English words can you write? 50. /50 words. /I can write 50 words in a minute.
Step 5 老师按此方法依次呈现、教授句型:How many animals can you draw? How many times can you bend your knees? How many times can you say “Sheila’s shop sells shirts with silver spots”?
Step 6 学生操练句型、对话。
Step 7 老师挑选一名学生与之对话,并记录下信息。老师将对话的整个过程展示给学生看,让学生明白该如何操作课本第24页的活动6b。
Step 8 学生同桌活动:练习对话,记录信息,完成句子,朗读句子。老师巡视并加以指导。
Step 9 老师挑选2-3名学生在全班展示,并及时给予评价。

Step 5 学生小组运用句型:What about number one/...? I think ... I don’t think ...讨论答案。
Step 6 老师播放录音,学生核对答案。
Step 7 学生大声朗读句子。
