一、Teaching aims(教学目标)
1.掌握并能够正确使用下列词汇:down, dialogue, ending, documentary, drama, plenty, plenty of, shut, shut off, superhero, once in a while, stick, stick to, dialog
2.阅读短文,能按要求获取相关的信息。
3.能运用思维导图复述文章,理清写作思路。
4.正确运用本节课所学的词汇句型,进行有关事物喜好的写作练习。

【过程与方法目标】
本课主要采用任务型教学法,情景教学法以及多媒体辅助教学,充分发挥教师的主导作用和学生的主体地位。利用现代化教育技术优化教学过程,通过课件为学生创设更多生动活泼的语言环境,把学生吸引到活动中去,并激发他们主动参与学习的欲望,努力培养学生自主学习的能力。把学习的钥匙交给学生,在传授知识的同时,授以科学的思维方法。不仅要使学生学会,更要使学生会学。因此在课堂教学中巧妙的运用教学艺术,适当安排小组交流、全班讨论、游戏、竞赛等活动,鼓励学生勇于说、乐于说。提高运用语言的能力,变“讲堂”
为“学堂”,变“要我学”为“我要学”。从而从根本上打破传统的课堂教学模式,建构一种新型的现代教育模式。使学生在更轻松、更愉快的环境下实现更多的信息交流,真正做到快快乐乐学英语,扎扎实实打基础。

通过谈论喜好、评论事物等话题加深对某一事物的了解,增强文化意识。

二、教学步骤
Step 1.Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习)and Presentation(呈现新知识)
How do you feel today? 复习相关表达情绪的单词: sad , tired, 教学生词dawn ,Teacher say : I am dawn , because I am very busy these days , I am too tired to think too much . I want to watch movies to relax. Do you want to watch movies?
播放5段电影短片,每段问三个问题:
1.What is the name of the movie ?
2.What kind of music is it?
3.What do you think of the movie?
帮助学生连词成句的方式,导出重点句型
... like .... are / make / have ....
呈现思维导图,导出表达偏爱的句型
And lead Ss to use the following sentence patterns:
When I am sad or tired, I prefer movies that ...
I prefer movie stars who ….
I don’ t watch ... or....
I don’t mind ... like .,,

Step 2. Fast Reading
- Reading the title
Read the beginning, find out the suitable words to fill in the blanks:1. While some people _____________only one kind of movies, I like to watch different kinds ____________ how I feel that day. Guess the meanings of the phrases to under the passage.
2.Read the body of the passage quickly. Pay attention to the first sentence of each paragraph which is useful to get the main idea of each paragraph.
Step 3. Careful Reading
Work on 3b.1Read the passage again and answer the questions.
1. How does the writer describe each kind of movie?
2. What kinds of movies does the writer prefer to watch when he or she is sad or tired?
3. How does the writer feel after watching these movies?
4. Does the writer like scary movies? When does he or she watch them?
Ss try to read and find the answers to these questions.
Then check the answers with the Ss.
2) Underline the sentences with attributive clause to help understand the passage.
3) Underline the linking words and adverbs to understand a standard of good passage.

Work on 3c:
Look at the table: What kinds of movies do you like to watch? Complete the chart.
