    Text 2

WWhich language would you like to learn? We offer French, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, and Portuguese.

MAh. The first one, of course.

    Text 3

MHow much is the rent for the apartment?

WIt's one thousand and two hundred dollars a month. Since you and I will share the apartment, we each need to pay just half of it.

    Text 4

MLook at the weather. I'm afraid it'll rain soon.

WBut the weather report said it'd be fine the whole day today. I was planning to go outdoors.

    Text 5

WHow is your experiment getting along?

MI thought it'd be difficult, but it turned out to be    easy.

    WSo have you finished it?

MYes. I stayed in the lab the whole afternoon. And Professor Brown thought highly of it.

    Text 6

WBen, thank you for helping me with the children's  names.

MThat's OK, Michelle. I'm happy to help. Look,    that's my sister, Sophie — she's the one with    the long red hair listening to music on the grass.

WAnd who is that boy, Ben? The one with the    teacher.

MThat's Danny. He likes reading history books.    Oh look, there's Jane.

    WThe girl eating the apple?

WAs I said sir, most Mediterranean places are  really great. You can choose between Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Turkey.

MWow, what a great choice! What are the different costs involved?

WPrice wise, Italy and France will be at the top end, Spain, Greece and Turkey will be at the lower end. I think that Greece would suit you better as the flight to Turkey is actually quite long.

    MWell, Greece is fine.

    Text 8

    WWhat are you reading, Mark?

MI'm reading an article about moons. It says that moons are rocky bodies that travel around planets.

MNo. Mercury and Venus don't have moons, but all the other planets have at least one.

WHow many moons does Mars have?

MIt has two tiny moons. These moons look like    old potatoes and they are not round.

    WSo what about Jupiter?

MIt has sixteen moons and three of them are larger    than the earth's moon. Jenny, do you want to    read this article?

WNo. I think it's a little boring. Oh, I think supper    will be ready soon. I'll go and help set the table    now.

MOK. I'll come for supper soon.

    Text 9

WYou always wanted to work with schools, didn't    you?

MYes. I remember that. However, when I finished    all the travelling, I thought of going to a travel    company but it's so tiring. I always like    journalism, so I'm writing for the local paper    now.

WListen, why don't you come over for dinner this    Friday?

MCan't do Friday I'm afraid. Both Kate and I    have a teacherparent meeting on Friday after    school and then we'll have to do the paperwork    in the evening.

    WWhat about Saturday then?

MThat would normally be fine but Kate is away    that night. No one can look after Alice. Why    don't you take Liz to come over for dinner at    ours? Alice will be glad to see your little    daughter.

    WOK. Let's do that then.

MSo, what time shall we come round? 8 o'clock?

WWell, we'll be home around 630 that night as    we're going out for the afternoon with the    kid. I'd say come at about half past seven.

    MGreat.

根据第二段第一句“Researchers at the University of Surrey, UK, found that delaying meals could help change one of the internal body clocks.(英国萨里大学(University of Surrey)的研究人员发现,推迟进餐时间可能有助于改变人体内部的一个生物钟。)”

根据第三段倒数第二句“In the second stage, each meal was delayed by 5 hours.”

根据第二段第一句“Researchers at the University of Surrey, UK, found that delaying meals could help change one of the internal body clocks.(英国萨里大学—University of Surrey的研究人员发现,推迟进餐时间可能有助于改变人体内部的一个生物钟。)”以及最后一段“A study published earlier this year suggested that just a weekend camping trip could be enough to reset our body clocks. And now this latest research shows regular food schedules could play a key part too.(今年早些时候发表的一项研究表明,周末露营一次就足以重置我们的生物钟。现在,这项最新研究表明,规律的饮食安排也可能发挥关键作用。)”可知改变进餐时间、周末露营以及规律的饮食安排都可以重置我们的生物钟,故重置生物钟的方法不止一种。故选A

    D

根据第二段“Data showed that 6.4 percent of university students order takeaway food online almost every day, followed by 16 percent who place orders 3 to 5 times a week and 21 percent who use the services 1 to 2 times weekly.” 故选A

根据第二段中的“The survey found that time spent online in general had a significant impact on students' mental health. The longer a student spent online each day, the worse was the selfevaluation and the higher the likelihood of depression”可知,调查发现,上网时间总体上对学生的心理健康有显著影响。

根据最后一段“Zhang said the early experience of separation from parents had a negative impact on students' mental health and selfassessment scores. They also had higher depression scores than those who lived with parents.”

    One possible version

    Dear Jane

I'm very glad to receive your letter. But at the same time, I'm sorry to hear that you are not very well these days. In your letter you asked me how to stay healthy. Here is my advice.

Firstly, you should keep a balanced diet. You should avoid eating food high in fat and too much sweet food. You'd better eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. Secondly, taking exercise every day helps building (up) a strong body. Why not take more exercise in your spare time? As we all know, regular exercise is an important part of keeping us healthy. Finally, make sure you have enough sleep and you mustn't stay up too late at night.

By eating properly and exercising regularly, you can keep your body at a proper weight and stay healthy. I truly hope my advice is helpful and you'll get well soon.

    Best wishes!

    Yours sincerely

    Li Hua
