1.预习Page 7上3a的内容。
2.预习并试做Self Check。
二、预习检测
根据首字母,完成下列句子,注意句型结构
1.Jenny could improve her reading speed by reading more.
2.I believe that the more she reads,the faster she’ll be.
3.It’s a good idea to remember English words by making word cards and using them more often.
4.I think taking notes in English class is a good way to learn grammar well.
5.The best way to get the pronunciation right is by listening to tapes.
课堂教学
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Revision:
(1)Let the students read aloud the passage in 2b.
(2)Let the students make sentences with “attention”,“review”,“ability” and “active”.
(3)Let the students review the good habits about learning English.
Step 2 Work on 3a
1.Let the students work in groups and do a summary about good ways of learning English.
2.Let the students write three best ways and give their reasons.Then give examples.
3.Ask the students to fill in the chart on their own.Then encourage them to communicate their ideas with classmates.
Step 3 Work on 3b
1.Ask the students to write the letter using their notes in 3a.
2.Ask the students to exchange their writing work with their partners.
3.Ask the students to check their work with each other.
Step 4 Work on Self Check
1.Finish Self Check 1.
(1)Ask the students to read the words in the box and to tell the Chinese meanings of the words.
(2)Ask the students to fill in the blanks on their own.
(3)Ask the students to correct the work of each other in pairs.
(4)Show the results on the blackboard and ask the students to read aloud the passage.
2.Finish Self Check 2.
(1)Ask the students to number these sentences in Self Check 2 in order to make a conversation.
(2)Check the answers with all the students.

(1)Ask the students to work in pairs and give some advice in Self Check 3.

◇教学反思◇
本课时以练和写为主。在Self Check部分,第一题训练了学生阅读填词的能力,第二题训练了学生的对话能力,第三题让学生自由发挥,训练了学生的写作能力。训练比较全面,既训练了单词和句子,也训练了对话和文章的阅读能力。写作是本课时的教学重点,本课时的大部分时间都用在了写作上,因此对提高学生的书面表达能力很有好处。学生在课堂上也表现得较为踊跃,气氛融洽,有利于教学的展开。
