2.Ask Ss t quickly skim the text n their wn. Ask them t highlight the wrds they d nt knw. Then ask Ss t discuss them in pairs and try t wrk ut their meaning frm the cntext.
3.Ask Ss t make list f wrds and phrases used in the text which describe nise and mvement/destructin, fear and hpe.

mvement/ destructin: slight shaking, earth started t shake, ran (wildly), pieces f glass and bricks fell dwn, walls began t cme dwn

4.Read Timmy’s stry alud.Ask Ss t listen carefully.
5.Check general understanding f the different paragraphs by asking sme ‘wh-’ questins.
