Step 1 Warm- up 1. talk about our favorite things. Eg. My favourite sport is playing tennis. What about you? 2. Talk about the subjects. Have the students to have a competition. 3 .Sing the song:Days of the week. 4. Quickly ask and answer about the main pattern drills which they have learned before. T: What day is today? S : It’s Wednesday. T: What lesson do you have today? Ss: We have Chinese, maths, art…. today / ə ,ei/ Step2 Presentation 1. To learn the words : weekend, park, theme park, 2. Ask and answer the questions: 1).Show the word cards and asks: What's this? Who knows? It's a park. Can you describe the park? Compare the word theme park. 2). Show the word cards and asks : When do we go to the parks and theme parks? To learn: weekend We have no classes on Saturday and Friday. We have no classes on weekends. The students may say some other words. And we can learn these words: vacation, holiday 3. Spelling Listen and guess. Reading Read the words and expressions. 4.T: What do you usually do on weekends? Let the student understand the meaning of the word usually. Then repeat one by one. 5. Let the students say the days of week quickly. Find out which is the fastest one. 6. Watch TV for twice. 7. Read after it with the book open 8. Act out the dialogue in pairs 9. Act out the dialogue for the class.
Step 3 Practice 1. A game: Let's play and say. 2. Describe pictures and say the words. 3. Listen and spell the words.
