教学过程:
Step 1 warming up
- Enjoy a song< Vegetable song>
- Revision:
(1) T shows the picture of unit 5 Story time and asks: Who are they? Where are they? What are they doing? Ss answer.
(2) T shows the picture of Unit 1. Help Ss to ask questions about the picture. Who? Where? What? Ss asks questions and other Ss answer the questions.
Step 2 Presentation
- Talk about the picture of Unit 6 Story time.
(1) T shows the picture of story time. Help Ss ask and answer questions.
(2) Ss asks: Who are there? What are they doing? Where are they?... Other Ss answers. Ss ask and answer where they are, T shows the title of this unit.
(3) T: Listen to the computer and get some more information.
(4) Ss listen to the first paragraph and answer: It’s six o’clock. Liu Tao comes home from a football game.
(5) T shows the uncompleted sentences and Ss try to fill in the blanks.
(6) Listen and repeat one sentence by one sentence.
- Read the whole dialogue.
(1) Watch the video of Story time.
(2) T shows the questions about story time and read together.
(3) T asks Ss to read the story time by themselves and underline the answers. Ss read the sentences and answer the questions.
- Learn the dialogue of Picture1.
(1) Let Ss look for the important or difficult word.
(2) Ss pick the words and T introduces the words.
(3) Smell: Do the action and help Ss to understand the word’s meaning.
(4) Vegetable: Watch the video to understand the word; listen and read after the computer; Pay attention of the sound of the letters; Chain reading; Name some vegetables.
(5) Tomato soup: What is tomato soup? Do you like tomato soup? What soup do you like?
(6) Meat: Introduce the different kind of meat; Play a game: Meat! Meat! Meat!; Tell Ss: Different food help us be healthy.
(7) Listen and repeat the dialogue.
- Talk about the picture 2.
(1) T shows the picture and asks: What is Liu Tao doing? Ss answer and T shows the sentences of narrator. Ss read after the computer.
(2) T: What’s in the fridge? What is Liu Tao looking for? What does Liu Tao find at last? Do you like orange juice? What kind of juice do you like? Ss answer.
(3) Listen and repeat.
- Talk about the picture 2.
(1) T shows the picture and asks: What is ready? What’s Liu Tao doing now? Ss answer.
(2) Help Ss to understand that Mr Liu and Mrs Liu’s questions. Help Ss to read Liu Tao’s answer in a right way.
(3) Listen and repeat.
Step 3 Practice
- Ss read story time together.
- Ss choose one of the characters and dub the dialogue.
- Help Liu Tao to retell the dialogue.
Step 4 Chanllage time
- Show the picture of checkout time, ask Ss talk about the picture.
- Ss practice in pairs and show.
- Ss try to say something about the pictures together
