本单元话题贴近学生生活，对话以老师帮学生找回自己丢失的东西展开，以寻找“失主”为功能，贯穿始终的名词性物主代词及“Whse”的用法，培养学生“拾金不昧”、“乐于助人”的良好品质。
学情
分析
因区域内学生的英语基础较弱，语言运用能力相对滞后，客观上由于近40天的寒假，学生的语言表达能力也有所下降。 这就要求教师激活学生已有的知识和经验，主动地根据先前的认知结构有选择地知觉外在信息, 逐渐建构对新信息(材料)的理解。
