学情分析
本节课主要学习过去进行时的用法以及掌握在含有该时态的句子中如何使用when和while引导时间状语从句，并能用过去进行时进行提问和回答。学生们在七年级下册就学过了现在进行时和一般过去时，对现在分词的构成也有了一定的基础，并且在英语学习的过程中打下了较好的语言运用的基础，具备了一定的听说读写能力，有一定的自信心。因此对于过去进行时这一时态学起来也比较容易。
重点难点
1.重点：熟练掌握并运用过去进行时的句型结构
2.难点：掌握在过去进行时中如何使用When 和While引导的时间状语从句中以及他们的区别。

4.1.1教学活动
活动1【课前】游戏热身
Ask the students t play a game”I say ,yu d”.They shuld answer the questin :what were yu ding at 4pm. Last Sunday? While answering, they shuld d actins. But they must d what the persn in frnt f him/her say.
设计说明：通过学生做游戏的方式,不仅能调动学生的学习热情，同时本活动的设计不仅能强化学生对过去进行时的运用，同时由于在回答问题的同时要做前一个同学说的动作，可以让学生的注意力高度集中，训练口语的同时也训练了学生的听力。
活动2【导入】视频导入

设计说明：活动2-4的设计让学生对过去进行时的操练从陈述句到一般疑问句再到特殊疑问句，层层深入的操练，能有效促进学生对过去进行时结构的掌握。
活动5【活动】合作学习
Wrk in grups, talk abut hw and when t use the past prgressive tense,then ask tw f them t shw their discussin.
设计说明:让学生在合作学习中对过去进行时进行总结归纳，加深对该时态的理解，提升自主学习的能力。
活动6【活动】句型展示
Lk at the pictures,what were they ding at 9:00am yesterday? Tell the students :they were ding different things at the same time,we can jin these tw sentences tgether ,using “while”.
Then give them ther examples,lead them t make a summary,when we talk abut tw lnger actins that g n at the same time, r the lnger actin f tw events,we usually use “while”.
When we talk abut a shrter event that happens at the same time as a lnger actin r event,we usually use “when” and we shuld just use past tense tgether with the actin.
设计说明：通过观察所给的句子，老师启发、引导学生思考并归纳when和while 引导的时间状语从句在过去进行时中的区别。
活动7【练习】巩固提升
Fill in the blanks with “when” and “while”
Chse a number frm clumn A and anther number frm clumn B,then make sentences using when r while.
设计说明：学生随机选择数字，每个数字下面分别是一个动词短语（既有延续性动词，又有短暂性动词）学生根据所抽取的动词用when或者while造句，对他们的用法和区别进一步强化巩固。此活动最大的亮点就是这是一个开放性的练习，可以有效的检验学生是否真正弄懂了when和while的区别。
活动8【朗诵】情感升华
Use the pictures f their teacher and the cleaner t remind them f the unfrgettable mments that happened arund us, then recite a pem:Mm knws best.
设计说明：通过播放几组学生们在休息玩耍，而老师、父母在工作，做家务的照片，以及让学生诵读一首由when和while 引导的过去进行时的句子组成的小诗，让学生再次感受语言应以交际为目的，应在不同语境中反复的使用和操练，同时更教会学生要有感恩之心，用努力来回报父母。
