Lesson 2  Where’s she from?

一、单元教学目标(Teaching aims)

（一）知识目标(Knowledge aims)

1. 能听懂、会说、认读、书写单词 her，听懂、会说、认读国家类词汇Australia、India、France。

2. 能理解并在情景中运用句子：Where is he/she from? / He’s/She’s from… (询问他人来自哪里并作相应回答)

（二）能力目标(Ability aims)

能运用所学句型询问他人的国籍并作相应回答。

（三）文化意识(Ability aims)

通过了解中国及主要英语国家的标志性建筑物和其代表性动物，对学生进行适当的文化渗透及情感教育。

二、教学重难点(Teaching points and difficulties)

1. 词汇：Australia、India、France、her的发音及应用

2. 句型：Where is he/she from? / He’s/She’s from…

三、教学准备(Teaching preparation)

教师准备：教学课件，课文动画，人物头饰，国家类单词卡片。

四、教学过程

Step 1: Warm-up 

1. 复习上节课所做的Let’s do活动，可提前给学生发放代表国家的卡片。

Make a dialogue in groups.

S1: Hello!

S2: Hello! What’s your name?

S1:I’m …

S2: Where are you from?

S1:I’m from…

2. 做完上面的对话练习后，用PPT展示上节课已学Let’s talk中的四幅图，展示四个国家对应的人物：Jim、Li Ming、Mike、Mary。（复习国家单词，并熟悉课本人物。）

接着，教师引导学习本节课的新句型。

Step 2：Presentation

1. 教师介绍：Now we know Li Ming is from… 引导学生回答“China.”。

教师接着说：Look! This is Jim. And we know he is from… 学生顺势回答“Canada.”，教师板书句型：He’s from…  并引导学生介绍剩余两张图片，在复习旧知的基础上运用新句型。

2. 教师让学生看课本P6, 分小组让学生找出Li Ming的新朋友及对应的国籍。
3. 教师用PPT展示P6的第一幅图，介绍： Look! They’re our new friends. And that’s Sam. Can you guess “Where’s he from?”

板书句型：Where’s he from? 引导学生运用句型“He’s from…”进行回答。得到正确答案：He’s from Australia. 学习新单词Australia，并操练新句型：

—Where’s he from?

—He’s from Australia.

4. 同样的思路，继续后面的教学活动：What about our other friends？ 相继出示P6右侧的两幅女生的图片，运用新句型的同时学习新单词India、Britain。
5. 教师接着引导学生学习新句型：Is he from…? Yes, he is. /No, he isn’t. 。用PPT展示P6第三幅男孩图片，教师问： Is he from China? 学生回答：No, he isn’t. 教师接着问：Is he from the U.S.? 并引导学生从课文中找到答案案，故学生可回答：No, he isn’t. He’s from France. 从而得到新单词France，教师代领学生学习相关知识。
6. Read the text by themselves.
7. Listen, repeat and act.  (再听课文录音，并尝试复述和角色扮演。)

Step 3: Practice

1. Let’s talk. 教师展示P7四幅图片，相继介绍，接着出示四个国家的人物，并让学生运用句型回答。

图1： —Where’s she from?  —She’s from France.

图2： —Where’s he from?

—He’s from China.

图3： —Where’s she from?

—She’s from India.

图4： —Where’s he from?

—   He’s from Australia.

2. Let’s do. 教师安排各小组提前准备好已学国家的单词卡片，然后分小组练习下面的对话：

S1: Where are you from?

S2: I’m from…

S1: Where’s he/she from?

S3, S4: Is he/she from…?

S2: Yes, he is. /No, he isn’t.

Step 4: Summary

教师带领学生回顾本节课所学知识：What have we learnt in this class?

Then read the new words and sentences together.

Step 5: Homework

1. Listen and repeat the text for 3 times.（听课文录音，模仿跟读3遍）

2. Find more information about the countries. (课下多搜集所学国家的相关情况，如知名建筑物、代表性的动物、著名的卡通人物等，可以是图片也可以是视频介绍，多多益善。例如：中国—长城、天安门、故宫、长江等—大熊猫—孙悟空、哪吒等)

下节课与大家分享，并有助于下面的学习。

3. 仿照课文，分小组就各人来自哪个城市设计对话，并在下节课给大家展示。示例：

S1: Where are you from?

S2: I’m from Qingdao.

S1: Where’s he/she from?

S3, S4: Is he/she from Taian?

S2: No, he isn’t. He is from Jinan.
