    3. Enable the student to listen ,say and read the sentences: This isspeaking. May I speak to ? I’m sorry to hear that. How are you ? I’m fine, thank you. See you tomorrow. See you.
    4. Ability aims : Enable the students to make telephone calls.
    5. Emotional aims: Cultivate the quality of caring for others.

                 How to make telephone calls.

    Teaching steps:

    1. Pre-reading:

    1.Greetings

    2.Enjoy a song<How are you ?>

     T: First ,Lets enjoy a song. After listening, you should give a title, I mean please name the song. Are you ready  ? Now , clap your hands.

     T: Can you name the song?

     S:

    T: Do you agree with her/him?

    S: Yes.

    3. Free talk

      T: How are you?

     S : I’m fine ,thank you .(3pairs)

     T: I’m happy to hear that.(all the students ask the teacher )

    4. Let’s talk:

    Man to machine conversation,

    T: We are all fine today. What about our friends? Lets greet them.(人机对话)

    S: Hello, Helen, how are you?  Helen: Im fine , thank you.

    S: Hello, Mike, how are you?  Mike: Im OK , thank you.

    S: Hello, Liu Tao, how are you?  Liu Tao: Im great , thank you.

    S: Hello, Yang Ling, how are you?  Yang Ling: Im not so good。

    II. While-story reading:

    1.Lets predict

    T: Yang Ling is not so good. Whats the matter with her? Guess?

    2. Watch and answer

    T:Lets watch the cartoon and try to answer.(看动画)

    T:Whats the matter with her?

    (B.    She has a cold and a fever.)

    The boy has a high fever,Yang Ling is also.

    T:Please look at picture,and tell me: Can she come to school today?

    S: No, she cant.

    T: Where is Yang Ling now?(看图)

    S: Yang Ling is at home (板书),

    T: Yang Ling is at home ,Where is Miss Li ?

    S:its a telephone.

    3. Look and underline.

    T:  How to make a telephone call. Please read and underline some useful sentences and then try to read in pairs.

     Who can call me back? Can you make a dialogue like this . Please work in pairs.

     4. Read and discuss:

    T: Lets continue our study .Yang ling is ill , How does Miss Li feel? Lets have a look at her face.(Is she happy?)Yeah, she is not happy She is worried about Yang Ling.

    5. Think and say

    T: Were sorry to hear that .But we can do something for her .What do you want to say to her? I mean do you have any good suggestions ?

    T: In a word. She should take care.

    T:Yang ling is a good student. She can’t come to school. So she  asks for a leave to Miss Li. If you cant come to school, you should ask for a leave to your teacher, understand?

    S: Yes .

    T: She is worried about Yang Ling.(她担心杨玲) In the afternoon, she makes a telephone call to Yang Ling. How is Yang Ling now ?Guess?

    6.Self-study

    T: Now ,please try to find out the answer by yourselves. Here are some steps for you.
