Step 1
| Presentation: Show different clocks with different times, lead students to learn to read the times in English. To show more different clocks with different times, encourage students to read them by themselves. To show different pictures with different activities, lead students to say them out in English. 1a: Match the activities with the pictures. Try to speak out the times as quickly as possible. Let’s see who’s quick and accurate(准确). 1b: Listen and match the times with the actions.Draw lines from the clocks to the pictures. Listen again and fill the information in Rick’s schedule.
1c: Student A is the interviewer. Student B is Rick. Ask and answer questions about Rick’s day. Pair work: Students practice the sentence pattern according to the pictures. Development: Students do more practice with the sentence pattern: A: What time does he/she…? B: He/She… 2a: Listen to the conversation and complete the sentences. Listen again and rank Jim’s family’ names in the shower schedule. 2b: Listen again. Complete the shower schedule for Jim’s family. 2c: Now talk about yourself.

What time do you usually get up, Rick? what time与when都可用于询问时间。 但what time所问的时间范围较小, 一般询问比较精确的时间; 而when(什么时候) 所问的时间范围比what time要大,可询问小的时间点, 也可询问日期。 例如: What time / When do you usually have breakfast? 你通常几点/什么时候吃早饭? When is Teachers’ Day? 教师节是什么时候? 询问时间和表达时间的方法: I. 询问时间 在英语中,常用What’s the time?或What time is it?来询问时间,有时也可用Do you know the time?等句式来问时间。回答方式均用It’s...如: -What time is it?几点了? -It’s seven o’clock.七点。 逆读法:按“分钟数+past/to+钟点数” 的顺序表达。 A. 分钟数不超过30(包含30)时,用“分钟数 +past+钟点数”表达。 如:6:05 five past six 8:10 ten past eight B. 分钟数超过30时,用“分钟数+to+钟点 数”表达。其中“分钟数”为60减去原分钟数, “钟点数”为下一个钟点数,表示“差几分几点”。 如:9:50 ten to ten 2:58 two to three
例:起床穿衣服了! Get up and get dressed! dress的用法 (1) dress 作动词时,意为“穿衣服”,dress sb. 意为“给某人穿衣服”。 (2) dress 作名词时,意为“连衣裙”。 例:她给她的儿子穿上一件蓝色衬衫。 She dressed his son a blue shirt. 她穿着一件红色的连衣裙。 She wears a red dress. 3. brush teeth 刷牙 (1) brush此处用作动词,意为“刷;刷净” , 后可接名词或代词作宾语。 例:请刷刷你的鞋子。Please brush your shoes. brush作名词时,意为“刷子”,其复数形式为brushes。 例:我需要三把刷子。I need three brushes. (2) tooth是可数名词,意为“牙齿”,其复数形式为teeth。类似的复数变化的单词还有: 例:这个宝宝有四颗牙齿。 The baby has four teeth. 4. eat breakfast 吃早餐 eat breakfast/lunch/dinner意为“吃早/午/晚饭”。 have也可以表示“吃/喝”。 例:到吃晚饭的时间了。 It’s time to eat/have dinner. 我们吃这个苹果吧。 Let’s eat/have this apple. 表示三餐的名词breakfast, lunch, dinner前通常不用冠词,但如果其前有修饰词时,则可用冠词。 例:我们每天早晨通常在七点钟吃早餐。 We usually eat/have breakfast at 7:00 every morning. 5. job与work 辨析 job是可数名词,主要指有报酬的工作。 work是不可数名词,主要指要付出努力的劳动。 鲍勃想找一份好的工作。 Bob wants to find a good ______. 今天我有很多工作要做。 I have much _____ to do today. 她每天六点钟去上班。 She goes to _____ at six o’clock. 6. I always get up at five fifty. at作为介词,意为“在……”,用来表示时间。其后一般跟表示具体的钟点的词。 例:at 3:00 在3点 at 9:15 在9点15 辨析:at, in 与 on (1)介词 at 常用于时刻前或年龄前,也可用在一些固定的习惯用语中。 (2)介词 in 用在月份、季节、年份、世纪前面,也可用于泛指的上午/下午/晚上等。 (3)介词 on 用在具体日期、星期几、节日前,也可用来表示具体某一天的上午、下午或晚上。
