1. 基本概念 过去进行时表示在过去某一时刻或一段时间内正在进行的动作。这一特定的过去时间除有上下文暗示以外, 一般用时间状语来表示。2. 结构 was / were + 动词-ing
when & while两者在引导时间状语从句时的区别：1）主句用过去进行时+ when 引导的从句用一般过去时2）主句用过去进行时 + while引导的从句用过去时行时Q: 句子中两个动词，哪一个持续的时间更长？它们是否能同时持续较长的时间？
when & whileWhen 在英文中指：at r during the time that, 它既指时间点，也可指一段时间，while是during the time that只表示一段时间，因此在引导时间状语从句时，when引导的时间状语从句中的动词可以是瞬间性动词，也可以是持续性动词，而while从句中的动词必须是延续性动词。例如： It was snwing when we arrived at the statin.While she was typing, smene kncked at the dr.
