Step1．Warm up

1）Sing a song: What’s your name?

2）Free talk

T: Hello/hi/Good morning/afternoon/evening....

 What's your name?

 What's this?

 What colour?

 Is this a．..?

Step2．Presentation and practice

1．T: Hello...How are you?

  S: I’m fine, thank you. (Teacher helps)

  T: Today, we’ll learn Unit 3 How are you? (Write on the blackboard)

2．Teach the sentence: How are you?

  Ask students to read together and then read one by one.

3．Teach the sentence: I’m fine, thank you.

  Ask students to read together and then read one by one.

4．Ask and answer

 T: Good morning, xxx

 S1: Good morning, Miss Wei.

 T: How are you?

 S1: I’m fine, thank you.

5．Look at the cartoon of part A

  Read after the tape.

  Read after teacher.

  Read together.

  Read in groups.

6．Consolidation

Show the pictures of animals and ask students to greet. (one group ask, one group answer)

E.g.  Hello, dog, how are you?

7．Play a game: Guess who's talking

 S1: How are you?

 S2: I'm fine, thank you. (and guess who's talking)
