第二课时 Section A (3a-4c)重点单词expression n.表情;表示;表达方式discover v.发现;发觉secret n.秘密;秘诀 adj.秘密的;保密的grammar n.语法repeat v.重复;重做note n.笔记;记录 v.注意;指出physics n.物理;物理学chemistry n.化学重点短语so...that...如此……以至于……be afraid to do sth.害怕做某事fall in love with爱上the secret to……的秘诀look up(在词典、参考书中或通过电脑)查阅;抬头看重点句子1.Although I could not understand everything the characters said,their body language and the expressions on their faces helped me to get the meaning.虽然我不能理解人物说的一切,但是他们的肢体语言和面部表情帮助我领会了意思。2.I discovered that listening to something interesting is the secret to language learning.我发现听一些有趣的东西是学习语言的秘诀。3.I can find the meaning of new words by looking them up in a dictionary.我能通过查阅字典找出新单词的意思。教学难点让学生学会询问学习方法并回答;让学生知道更多学英语的方法;让学生观察、发现并总结Grammar Focus中的语法结构一、根据句意及汉语提示写出单词或用所给词的适当形式填空。1.There was a blank __expression__(表情) on her face.2.I can't tell you.It's a __secret__(秘密).3.The exercises can help students __discover__(discovery) the rules of __grammar__(语法) on their own.4.I have learned some __useful__(use) sentences.5.I didn't __understand__(明白) my English teacher most of the time.二、写出下列画线短语的汉语意思。1.The teacher spoke so quickly_that I did not understand her most of the time.__如此……以至于……__2.I was afraid to ask questions because_of my poor pronunciation.__由于__3.But because I wanted to understand the story,I looked them up in a dictionary.__(在词典、参考书中或通过电脑)查阅;抬头看__环节1 新课导入Hello,everyone!I know you all want to get good grades in English.Do you know the ways of learning English are very important in learning?Do you learn English in a good way?Do you have some good advice on English learning?设计意图:让学生思考这三个问题并给出自己的回答,从而引入新话题。环节2 学习3a-3b1.让学生先浏览教材第3页3a下面的问题,弄懂每个问题的意思。2.让学生带着问题快速阅读3a的文章,了解文章大意并回答文章前面的3个问题。3.让学生再次细读文章,勾出其中的生词、重要的短语及句型,然后完成3b中的习题。4.要点点拨。(1)Why did Wei Fen find it difficult to learn English?“find it+形容词+ to do sth.”表示“发现做某事……”。其中it是形式宾语,真正的宾语是后面的不定式。(2)The teacher spoke so quickly that I did not understand her most of the time.本句包含一个由so...that...(如此……以至于……)引导的结果状语从句。so修饰形容词或副词原级。例:They walked so fast that I could hardly catch up with them.他们走得如此之快,以至于我几乎赶不上他们。(3)Although I could not understand everything the characters said,their body language and the expressions on their faces helped me to get the meaning.本句包含一个although引导的让步状语从句,前后分句表转折意思。注意:在英语中,although/though不能和but同时用在一个句子中,二者只能择其一使用。5.学以致用。(同义句转换,一空一词)(1)I find it difficult to solve some maths problems.__It__ __is__ difficult __for__ __me__ to solve some maths problems.(2)He stuck to his views,although no one agreed with him.No one agreed with him,__but__ he stuck to his views.(3)I did not understand my teacher because she spoke too quickly.My teacher spoke __so__ __quickly__ __that__ I did not understand her.设计意图:让学生掌握快速阅读和精读的方法;通过3a和3b中的练习,提升学生通过阅读完成任务的能力。环节3 学习Grammar Focus-4c1.让学生朗读Grammar Focus中的句子,观察并总结其中的规律。2.让学生先浏览4a中的问题和答案,然后采用“对话式交流”与不同学生对话,核对本题答案。3.让学生利用4b中表格内的科目名词,结合自己的实际情况用“do sth.by doing”结构造句。4.让学生在4c的表格中勾出自己学英语的方法,然后采访自己的同桌,并做记录。5.让学生根据完成的表格信息,模仿对话,就各自的实际情况进行问答。6.要点点拨。I learn by studying with a group.“by+v.ing”结构意为“通过做……”,它用于表示做某事的方法。此结构常用来回答How do you...?或How can I...?这类句型。by在此作介词,其后跟动词时,动词要用动名词形式。7.学以致用。(根据汉语意思完成句子,一空一词)(1)我乘地铁去上班。I go to work __by__ __taking__ a subway.(2)我通过在课堂上认真听老师讲课来学习英语。I learn English by __listening__ to the teacher carefully in class.(3)他通过读报纸了解信息。He gets information by __reading__ __newspapers__.设计意图:通过观察,让学生发现并总结出“do sth.by doing sth.”结构,可以充分发挥学生的主观能动性,培养自主学习的能力;然后通过4a和4b的练习,巩固该结构的用法;最后通过采访活动,培养学生运用目标语言进行交际的能力。Unit 1 How can we become good learners?Section A(3a-4c)although,look up,find it+形容词+ to do sth.,so ...that...,by doing请完成本课对应训练!
