    Shw the tw sentences n the PPT. (出示课件) Teach students t read them. Mark the wrds “are” “flwers” and “plants” with red clur. Explain the usage f the sentence pattern: These wrds are plural nuns, s “are” must be used in the sentences. Give sme examples fr students t understand: There are sme trees in ur schl. There are sme bks n the desk.
    T: There are s many/lts f flwers. There are s many/lts f plants. They have the similar meaning. And “lts f” has the same meaning as “a lt f”.
    Give an example fr students t understand: There are a lt f/lts f flwers.
    ③Learn the new wrds “huse, grandparent, their”.
    T: The garden is very beautiful. But where is the garden? (课件出示:一间房子在花园后面的图片及单词huse) Oh!It’s in frnt f the huse.
    Pint t the huse and teach the wrd “huse” like this: “u” sunds /aʊ/. Students read it after the teacher in a high and lw vice.

    Shw the wrds “grandparent, their” n the PPT. (出示课件)
    Tell students that “grandparent” refers t “grandmther” r “grandfather”.
    Teach the wrd like this: grand + parent=grandparent. Teach the wrd “their” by cmparing it with “they, them”. Practice with the sentences: The garden is my grandparents’. The plants are my grandparents’. It’s their garden. These are their plants.
    (2)Watch and answer.
    Play the cartn and ask a questin: What are Mike and Sarah ding? (课件出示:教材P51 Let’s talk 板块的视频)

    ①The teacher plays the cartn. (出示课件) Students read after it ne by ne. Try t imitate the intnatin and the prnunciatin. Then students read tgether, read freely and dub the cartn. Chse the best dubber.
    ②Students read the dialgue in grups. Then the teacher takes ut sme headwears and asks sme students t act ut the dialgue. Students chse the best perfrmers. The teacher gives awards.
