Step1：Warm-up

Greeting

T:Hello,boys and girls! Welcome to English Class . （大家好，欢迎大家来上英语课。）

 Lead in

Okay，class. Today ,we will read a story . Today we will meet a little girl ,Etta. She has a problem ,and it make her very sad .What’s the problem ? let’s read the story and find out .(好的，同学们，今天我们将要读一篇故事。今天我们会见到一个小女孩埃塔。她碰到了一件烦心事，非常伤心。是什么烦心事呢？我们一起读故事吧！)

Step2：presentation

1、Prepare to read

学生打开课本60页。做阅读前准备工作，先不着急读故事，认真看一下每幅图，了解故事的梗概，同桌间可以讨论。然后回答下列问题：

·Where is the girl？

·What is the girl doing？

·How does the girl feel？ Happy or sad？

2、Read the Story

将故事从头到尾过一遍，帮助学生理解故事情节。

（1）图一，让学生自己阅读，问辅助问题：What do you see in the picture ?  Is the girl happy?  Who is sitting with her? (可以让学生通过看图猜不认识的单词的意思，锻炼阅读能力）

（2）图二，埃塔在干什么？问题:What is Etta doing?(可以讲解find和look for的意义及用法）

（3）图三，接着往下看，谁来了？辅助问题：What is Etta doing now? What does her mother tell her? Do you think Etta feels better now? （介绍cry这个词）

（4）图四，他们去了哪里？辅助问题：Where are they now? What can you see in the picture?

（5）图五，他们现在在哪里？辅助问题：Where are they now? What is Etta's mum holding?

（6）图六，他们又干什么去了？学生回答：What are they doing now? Where are they sitting?（介绍forget这个单词）

（7）图七，你在图片中看到了什么？学生回答：Where is Etta now? What is she doing? What does she find in her bed?（介绍It is time to…句型）

（8）图八，埃塔找到泰迪熊了吗？学生回答：Is Etta happy or sad?

串完故事后，开始朗读。教师先慢速把整个故事给同学们读一遍，然后播放录音，让学生跟读，重点词句可反复听。最后再播放一次录音，让学生跟着大声朗读。

3、  After Reading

（1）把学生分成8组，每组练习表演8张图片中的一张。给学生时间练习，期间教师走动，帮助有困难的同学。准备好后，让每组在全班面前表演。

（2）让学生看61页底部的阅读排序部分。解释将要做什么。他们必须阅读句子并将这些句子排序，根据故事里发生的时间将数字1到6填在这句话前面的方框里。

Step3：Consolidation and Homework

告诉学生老师喜欢他们的表演。家庭作业是试着用英语把故事读给家长听。
