Teaching Prcedures
Step 1. Revisin
Hw many clrs d yu knw? (Red, white, black, bule, green, grwn, purple ….)
If yu mix tw different clrs, yu can get anther clr, suck as:
red + white = pink / red + yellw = range / red + blue = purple
What clr are the fllwing things? (the sea, the sky, the sun, a leaf, a tmat, an apple …)
Step2. Presentatin
After the rain, Millie lks ut f her windw and sees a rainbw. Hw many clrs can she see? Write dwn the names f the clrs.
Explain: indig – a purlish blue vilet – a synnym f ‘purple’
Step 3. Read & Practice
Amy’s cusin saw the rainbw t, she is calling Amy t tell her abut it. Read the dialgue between Amy and her cusin in part B n page 21. Then qrk in pairs t make the same dialgue.
Step 4. Presentatin
What clr d yu prefer? Why ? But I prefer purple. It there is a purple bag and a red ne, I wuld rather chse purple than red.
Ask the students t make the same sentences.
Step 5. Listen & answer
One day, Hb played a trick n Eddie. What happened? Let’s lk at the pictures while listening t the tape.
1. Why wuld Eddie rather wear blue than pink?

3. Hb says t Eddie, “ Blue lks gd n yu.” Des he really think s?
( The jke here is that Eddie is male and chses blue because he thinks this is a masculine cur. Hwever, the blue item f clthing turns ut t be a dress. Hb is deliberately trying t mislead Eddie by nt shwing r telling him that it is a dress.)

Read the dialgue after the tape, then read it and act it ut.
