Is Fresh Air Really Good for You?
We all grew up hearing people tell us to “go out and get some fresh air.” 1 According to recent studies, the answer is a big YES,if the air quality in your camping area is good.
2 If the air you're breathing is clean—which it would be if you're away from the smog of cities—then the air is filled with lifegiving, energizing oxygen. If you exercise out of doors, your body will learn to breathe more deeply, allowing even more oxygen to get to your muscles(肌肉) and your brain.
Recently, people have begun studying the connection between the natural world and healing(治愈). 3 In these places patients can go to be near nature during their recovery. It turns out that just looking at green, growing things can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and put people into a better mood(情绪).Greenery is good for us.Hospital patients who see tree branches out their window are likely to recover at a faster rate than patients who see buildings or sky instead. 4 It gives us a great feeling of peace.
5 While the sun's rays can age and harm our skin, they also give us beneficial Vitamin D.To make sure you get enough Vitamin D—but still protect your skin—put on sunscreen right as you head outside. It takes sunscreen about fifteen minutes to start working, and that's plenty of time for your skin to absorb a day's worth of Vitamin D.
    A.Fresh air cleans our lungs.
B.So what are you waiting for?
    C.Being in nature refreshes us.
D.Another side benefit of getting fresh air is sunlight.
E.But is fresh air really as good for you as your mother always said?
F.Just as importantly,we tend to associate fresh air with health care.
G.All across the country, recovery centers have begun building Healing Gardens.
In an online class, developing healthy patterns of communication with professors is very important. 6 While I have only listed two of each, there are obviously many other situations that can arise.Students should be able to extend the logic(逻辑)of each to their particular circumstance.
    Do's
    ● 7 Questions about subject content are generally welcomed. Before asking questions about the course design, read the syllabus(教学大纲)and learning management system information to be sure the answer isn't hiding in plain sight.
●Participate in discussion forums(论坛), blogs and other openended forums for dialogue. 8 Be sure to stay on topic and not offer irrelevant information.Make a point, and make it safe for others to do the same.
    Don'ts
●Don't share personal information or stories.Professors are not trained nurses, financial aid experts or your best friends. If you are in need of a deadline extension, simply explain the situation to the professor. 9
●Don't openly express annoyance at a professor or class. 10 When a student attacks a professor on the social media, the language used actually says more about the student. If there is truly a concern about a professor's professionalism or ability, be sure to use online course evaluations to calmly offer your comments.
    A.That's what they are for.
B.Turn to an online instructor for help.
C.If more information is needed, they will ask.
D.Remember that online professors get a lot of emails.
E.Below are some common do's and don'ts for online learners.
F.Everyone has taken a notsogreat class at one time or another.
G.Ask questions, but make sure they are good, thoughtful questions.
Much of the work in today's world is accomplished(完成)in teams. Most people believe the best way to build a great team is to gather a group of the most talented individuals. 11 Companies spend millions hiring top business people. Is their money well spent?
12 They focused on football, basketball and baseball. The results are mixed. For football and basketball, adding talented players to a team proves a good method, but only up to the point where 70% of the players are top talent;above that level, the team's performance begins to decline. Interestingly, this trend isn't evident in baseball, where additional individual talent keeps improving the team's performance.
To explain this phenomenon, the researchers explored the degree to which a good performance by a team requires its members to coordinate(协调)their actions. 13 In baseball, the performance of individual players is less dependent on teammates. They conclude that when task interdependence is high, team performance will suffer when there is too much talent, while individual talent will have positive effects on team performance when task interdependence is lower. If a basketball star is,for example, trying to gain a high personal point total,he may take a shot himself when it would be better to pass the ball to a teammate, affecting the team's performance. Young children learning to play team sports are often told,“There is no I in TEAM.” 14
Another possibility is that when there is a lot of talent on a team, some players may make less effort. Just as in a game of tugofwar(拔河比赛),whenever a person is added, everyone else pulls the rope with less force.
    15 An Ateam may require a balance—not just A players,but a few generous B players as well.
A.It's not a simple matter to determine the nature of talent.
B.Sports team owners spend millions of dollars attracting top talent.
C.The group interaction and its effect drew the researchers' attention.
D.Stars apparently do not follow this basic principle of sportsmanship.
E.Several recent studies examined the role of talent in the sports world.
F.Building up a dream team is more complex than simply hiring the best talent.
G.This task interdependence distinguishes baseball from football and basketball.
    12.E [根据空格后的“The results are mixed.”
Color is fundamental in home design—something you'll always have in every room.A grasp of how to manage color in your spaces is one of the first steps to creating rooms you'll love to live in.Do you want a room that's full of life?Professional?Or are you just looking for a place to relax after a long day? 16 ,color is the key to making a room feel the way you want it to feel.
Over the years, there have been a number of different techniques to help designers approach this important point. 17 ,they can get a little complex. But good news is that there're really only three kinds of decisions you need to make about color in your home:the small ones, the medium ones, and the large ones.
18 .They're the little spots of color like throw pillows, mirrors and baskets that most of us use to add visual interest to our rooms.Less tiring than painting your walls and less expensive than buying a colorful sofa, small color choices bring with them the significant benefit of being easily changeable.
Medium color choices are generally furniture pieces such as sofas, dinner tables or bookshelves. 19 .They require a bigger commitment than smaller ones, and they have a more powerful effect on the feeling of a space.
The large color decisions in your rooms concern the walls, ceilings, and floors.Whether you're looking at wallpaper or paint, the time, effort and relative expense put into it are significant. 20 .
A.While all of them are useful
    B.Whatever you're looking for
    C.If you're experimenting with a color
D.Small color choices are the ones we're most familiar with
E.It's not really a good idea to use too many small color pieces
F.So it pays to be sure, because you want to get it right the first time
G.Color choices in this range are a step up from the small ones in two major ways
16.B [上文给出了不同的房间风格选择,第一段最后一句又说到“making a room feel the way you want it to feel”可知,此处指不管你在寻找哪种风格,颜色是关键。]
    18.D [第二段最后一句出现了“the small ones,the medium ones,and the large ones”,第三段提到了“small color choices”,由此可知空处所在段主要在讲“the small ones”,故选D。]
    19.G [第四段最后一句提到了“a bigger commitment than smaller ones”和“a more powerful effect”可知,此处是和上文中的“small color choices”作对比,故选G。]
20.F [根据第五段第二句提到的“the time, effort and relative expense put into it are significant”可知,此处意在强调所花费的时间、精力和费用是巨大的,由此可推知选F。]

[典例] (2018·全国卷Ⅱ)· 39 Studies found that people who woke up early for exercise slept better than those who exercised in the evening. Exercise energizes you, so it is more difficult to relax and have a peaceful sleep when you are very excited.
    B.Your quality of sleep improves.
36 We dance from Florida to Alaska, from north to south and sea to sea.We dance at weddings, birthdays, office parties and just to fill the time.
    B.Dance in the U.S.is everywhere.
[典例] (2017·全国卷Ⅰ)I was, nevertheless, talked into going on another funfilled holiday in the wilderness.38.This time there was no tent.Instead,we had a popup camper with comfortable beds and an air conditioner. My natureloving friends had remembered to bring all the necessities of life.
39 We have done a lot of it since.Recently,we bought a twentyeightfoot travel trailer complete with a bathroom and a builtin TV set. There is a separate bedroom,a modern kitchen with a refrigerator. The trailer even has matching carpet and curtains.
B.Things are going to be improved.
F.After the trip,my family became quite interested in camping.

(2019·长沙市统一模拟)It is not as simple as opening the door and hitting the track in winter. There are a few things you can do to ensure you are getting the most out of your run and, importantly, not doing more harm than good.
    Warm up,cool down
1 .Your muscles need some time to warm up when it's cold,so take it easy when you set off and do a few stretches once you're finished.
    Drink water
You might not feel hot,but that's because sweat evaporates(蒸发) more quickly into the chilly, dry air.So be sure to drink water before, during and after coldweather workouts. 2 .A belt bottle conveniently attaches to your waist so you don't have to carry it and can have a drink whenever you feel like it.
    3
Running in cotton is a bad idea.Wear thin, breathable layers of synthetic(合成的) clothing that help protect you from the wind and snow, but still let out heat and moisture.Thirty percent of your body heat escapes through your hands and forty percent through your head.Wear a hat,or beanie(无檐小便帽),and gloves so your circulatory system can distribute warm blood to the rest of your body. 4 .
    Run into the wind
5 .Obviously,it will be an easier passage home with some extra help from Mother Nature. But,more importantly, you won't have the wind in your face for the second half of your run, when you are more likely to be sweating and catch a chill.
    A.Dress right
    B.Keep warm
    C.Don't go too fast,too soon
D.Start and finish in the same way
E.Don't wait to drink water until you feel thirsty
F.Head out into the wind and come home with it at your back
G.On really cold days, wear a mask or scarf over your mouth to protect your face.
1.C [根据该段小标题Warm up, cool down以及空后的Your muscles need some time to warm up可知,C项符合语境。]
2.E [根据段落小标题Drink water并结合空前一句So be sure to drink water before, during and after coldweather workouts可知,E项“不要等到你感到口渴的时候才喝水”符合语境,衔接上文。]

[典例] (2017·全国卷Ⅰ)The friends who introduced me to camping thought that it meant to be a pioneer. 37 We slept in a tent, cooked over an open fire, and walked a long distance to take the shower and use the bathroom. This brief visit with Mother Nature cost me two days off from work, recovering from a bad case of sunburn and the doctor's bill for my son's food poisoning.
C.The trip they took me on was a rough one.
[典例] (2016·全国卷Ⅲ)Everyone knows that fish is good for health. 36 But it seems that many people don't cook fish at home.Americans eat only about fifteen pounds of fish per person per year, but we eat twice as much fish in restaurants as at home.Buying, storing, and cooking fish isn't difficult.37.It just requires a little knowledge. This text is about how to buy and cook fish in an easy way.
G.The fats in fish are thought to help prevent heart disease.
[典例] (2016·全国卷Ⅱ)Our model of what a garden should be often goes back to childhood.Grandma's rose garden and Dad's vegetable garden might be good or bad, but that's not what's important.19.It's our experience of the garden that matters—how being in those gardens made us feel.If you'd like to build a powerful bond with your garden, start by taking some time to recall the gardens of your youth. 20 .Then go outside and work out a plan to translate your childhood memories into your grownup garden.Have fun.
G.For each of those gardens, write down the strongest memory you have
[典例] (2018·全国卷Ⅱ)If you are already making the time to exercise,it is good indeed! With such busy lives,it can be hard to try and find the time to work out. 36 Working out in the morning provides additional benefits beyond being physically fit.
G.If you are planning to do exercise regularly,or you're doing it now, then listen up!

(2019·湖南省六校联考)Astronauts have to go through physical, psychological, and technical training. They also go through training in how to care for plants. These“astronaut gardeners” share their work and living space with plants.
Taking seeds and plants along on a trip isn't a new idea.As space trips become longer,it will be necessary to grow food in space. 1 Because of this,it's not practical to send everything needed for a long journey, only to be used once and thrown away.
Plants can serve many uses on a space journey. They can provide more fresh things. 2 Also, plants can help to make air quality better because they produce oxygen. They can improve the quality of the air inside the spacecraft—the only air the astronauts can breathe.
3 Due to the lack of gravity in space, the oxygen that the plants produce stays around the plants. This can actually kill them,so fans are needed to circulate the air.Without gravity, roots don't “know” to grow down, leaves don't “know” to grow up,and water doesn't easily travel up the roots to the leaves. 4 Besides, soil is too heavy to send to space, and special liquid gels(凝胶) are used to help plant growth.
Scientists are also working on the plants themselves. They are trying to make plants grow more rapidly and grow with less water and light in space, and they are looking for ways to make plants more resistant to disease. 5 Imagine that deserts may one day provide lots of fresh food for local people, saving transportation costs.Similarly, plants that are resistant to disease could provide an important food supply. With the world's population now at about 7.7 billion people, our astronaut gardeners may help discover ways to feed those billions.
A.Every plant grown in space must have several uses.
B.However, there are challenges with growing plants in space.
C.Such methods may result in improvements back here on Earth.
D.The cost of taking anything into space is about $22,000 per kilogram.
E.Specialized containers are being developed to help the plants grow correctly.
F.Astronauts will welcome the addition of fruits and vegetables to their diet of dry foods.
G.Currently all oxygen is taken aboard in tanks.

[典例] (2018·全国卷Ⅲ)38.So why do we dance?“I can tell you about one young couple,”says Bridges.“They're learning to do traditional dances. They arrive at the class in low spirits and they leave with a smile. 39 ”
F.Dancing seems to change their feeling completely.
[典例] (2018·浙江高考)Moving into a new home in a new neighborhood is an exciting experience.Of course, you want to make sure that you become an accepted and valuable part of your new neighborhood. The easiest way to accomplish this is to make sure you conduct yourself as a good neighbor should. 31
Perhaps one of the most important things you can do as a good neighbor is to keep your property (房产) neat, clean, and in good repair. 32. People tend to take pride in keeping everything in their street fresh and inviting. By choosing to keep the outside of the home in great shape, you will help to improve the look and feel of the area.
G.Here are a few tips to help you win over everyone in the neighborhood quickly.
[典例] (2017·浙江高考)·34.Limit your time. Each interview that you get on the street shouldn't be longer than ten minutes. As soon as you get the answer you need, move on to the next person.Make sure that as you go from interview to interview, you are getting a variety of answers. If everyone is giving you the same answer, you won't be able to use it.A safe number of interviews to conduct is about six to ten. 35
F.That number of interviews should give you all the answers you need.
根据空前的“A safe number of interviews to conduct is about six to ten.” A safe number of interviews与F项题干中的That number of interviews形成了对应关系。

College is the time when you're expected to focus on your path in life. But it's also the time you're the least equipped to have any longterm plan. 1 .
The whole process can be divided into three stages.
The first is“gathering fuel”.This means building up your skills, learning from different experiences and developing a network of people who you trust and who trust you.And this is a stage that requires patience and willingness to identify your own weaknesses and work on them.If you complete this stage with a growing sense of what you love to do and what you are good at, 2 .
The second stage is “burning fuel”.This is the time to improve the skills you've obtained through experiences, the relationship with the people you've met along the way and the recognition of what you should do. 3 .We want to get there in a hurry, but that hardly works.
4 .Simply speaking,it's about staying strong, while turning an eye towards what lies ahead. It's a surprisingly long journey and most people underestimate it.You can't expect an ideal life to happen by itself. You must recognize that no matter where you are on the path, each step is there to teach you something, feeding you that fuel.
If you're not doing what you want, you need more fuel—so go out and get it. 5 .
    A.you are winning
    B.that will come true
    C.The last part is“saving fuel”
    D.The final part is“filling fuel”
E.Here are some tips on how to aim your sight into the future
F.It seems that most of us try to jump straight to the next stage
G.And if you're doing what you want, keep moving and don't settle.
    2.A [上文谈到第一个阶段应该做的,再结合空前的If you complete this stage可知,A项符合语境,衔接上文。]
    4.D [空处是该段的主题句,D项中的The final part与上文的The first;The second stage相呼应,且D项中的filling fuel与下文中的staying strong相呼应,因此选D。]

There are three main types of cryptography. 37 For example, the first letters of “My elephant eats too many eels” spell out the hidden message “Meet me.”
E.You can hide a message by having the first letters of each word spell it out.
[典例] (2019·全国卷Ⅱ)Another way of setting realistic goals is to analyze your short and long term objectives, keeping in mind your beliefs, values and strengths.Remember that goals are flexible. 39 They also need to be measurable. You must keep these points in mind while setting your goals.
E.They can change according to circumstances.
[典例] (2017·北京高考)Now we have the most direct evidence yet that he is right. 74 The synapses in the mice taken at the end of a period of sleep were 18 per cent smaller than those taken before sleep, showing that the connections between neurons weaken while sleeping.
G.Tononi's team measured the size of these connections,or synapses,in the brains of 12 mice.
[典例] (2016·全国卷Ⅱ)Some people may think that a garden is no more than plants, flowers, patterns and masses of color.Others are concerned about using gardening methods that require less water and fewer fertilizers (肥料). 18 .However, there are a number of other reasons that might explain why you want to garden. One of them comes from our earliest years.
E.Still others may simply enjoy being outdoors and close to plants
Every animal sleeps, but the reason for this has remained foggy. When lab rats are not allowed to sleep, they die within a month. 71
C.Similarly, when people go for a few days without sleeping, they get sick.
[典例] (2019·全国卷Ⅱ)Your personal circumstances are equally important. For example, you may want to be a pilot but can't become one because your eyesight is not good enough. 40 You should reassess your goals, and motivate yourself to set a fresh goal.
    C.However,this should not discourage you.
[典例] (2016·全国卷Ⅱ)Our model of what a garden should be often goes back to childhood.Grandma's rose garden and Dad's vegetable garden might be good or bad, but that's not what's important. 19 —how being in those gardens made us feel.If you'd like to build a powerful bond with your garden, start by taking some time to recall the gardens of your youth.20.For each of those gardens, write down the strongest memory you have. Then go outside and work out a plan to translate your childhood memories into your grownup garden.Have fun.
C.It's our experience of the garden that matters
[典例] (2017·北京高考)One idea is that sleep helps us strengthen new memories. 72 We know that, while awake, fresh memories are recorded by reinforcing (加强) connections between brain cells, but the memory processes that take place while we sleep have been unclear.
E.That's why students do better in tests if they get a chance to sleep after learning.
    [思维路径] 该段首句说睡眠能帮助人们增强记忆。而E项则给出了结果,学习后如有机会睡眠,那么学生在考试中就会表现更好,故选E项。
    技法二 依据“词汇”线索
    1.连接性词语
    连接性的词语可表明段落间、句子间的语义逻辑关系。
    ①承接关系:so, therefore, thus, consequently等;
    ②并列关系:first, second; firstly, secondly; first, next, then; in the first place, in the second place; for one thing, for another等;
    ③转折关系:however, though, yet, in spite of, in any case, whoever, whatever, on the contrary, otherwise等;
    ④对比关系:in contrast, in comparison, on the other hand等;
    ⑤层递关系:also, furthermore, similarly, in addition, what's more等。
[典例] (2017·全国卷Ⅰ)If anyone had told me three years ago that I would be spending most of my weekends camping,I would have laughed heartily.Campers,in my eyes, were people who enjoyed insect bites, illcooked meals, and uncomfortable sleeping bags. They had nothing in common with me. 36
The friends who introduced me to camping thought that it meant to be a pioneer.37.The trip they took me on was a rough one.We slept in a tent, cooked over an open fire, and walked a long distance to take the shower and use the bathroom. This brief visit with Mother Nature cost me two days off from work, recovering from a bad case of sunburn and the doctor's bill for my son's food poisoning.
D.I was to learn a lot about camping since then, however.
[典例] (2019·全国卷Ⅱ)Imagine a child standing on a diving board four feet high and asking himself the question:“Should I jump?”This is what motivation or the lack of it can do.Motivation and goal setting are the two sides of the same coin. 36 Like the child on the diving board, you will stay undecided.
G.Without motivation, you can neither set a goal nor reach it.
Your productivity is improved. Exercising makes you more awake and ready to handle whatever is ahead of you for the day. 37
E.You can keep your head clear for 4-10 hours after exercise.
[思维路径] 空格前一句中的makes you more awake与E项中的keep your head clear意思一致,属于相同范畴的词汇,E项“你可以在运动后保持头脑清醒4-10个小时。”
[典例] (2017·浙江高考)When your boss or professor sends you out to do manonthestreet interviews for a story, think about the topic and develop a list of about ten general questions relating to it.For example,if your topic is about environmental problems in America, you might ask,“Why do you think environmental protection is important in America?” 32
G.With a question like this, you will get more than a“Yes” or “No” reply.
Why do you think environmental protection is important in America?
[典例] (2017·全国卷Ⅱ)If you have a door to your office, make good use of it. 40 .If someone knocks and it's not an important matter, excuse yourself and let the person know you're busy so they can get the hint(暗示)that when the door is closed, you're not to be disturbed.
G.Leave it open when you're available to talk and close it when you're not

(2019·浙江高考)Rock music consists of many different styles. Even though there is a common spirit among all music groups, they make very different music. 31 At that time the Beatles entered the world of music from Liverpool.
After they were given an invitation to appear live on BBC, the Beatles quickly became famous in Britain with nationwide tours. By mid1963, the Beatles had been extremely popular in England. 32 They held large concerts and performed at clubs. They became the hottest thing on the pop music scene in England. They began as a modestly successful musician group and ended the year as show business legends(传说). John Lennon and Paul McCartney were named composers of the year.
33 They were not sure how the Americans would react to the new type of music. Beatlemania hit New York on February 7, 1964. Hundreds of fans jammed the airport to greet them. 34 The concert was broadcast live and attracted the largest one night audience in the history of television up to that time. The Beatles were described as a British invasion(入侵)by local and nationwide newspapers at that time. Their victory in America was still remembered as a major turning point in the history of rock and roll. Thanks to the Beatles, a lot of opportunities were opened up to new faces on the market. 35
A.They decided on a tour to the United States in 1964.
B.Even their hairstyles became major trends at that time.
C.Rock music developed in the 1950s and the early 1960s.
D.However, their songs changed the lives of generations to come.
E.Many rock bands were able to follow in the footsteps of the Beatles.
    F.They appeared in the films A Hard Day's Night(1964)and Help!(1965).
G.They performed their first concert in America at CBS television's 53rd street studio.
C项中的in the 1950s and the early 1960s与空白后的“At that time”属于相同范畴的词汇,故C项为正确答案。
由上文“By mid1963,the Beatles had been extremely popular in England”可知,空白处与上文之间的逻辑关系应为例证关系。
空白后“They were not sure how the Americans would react to the new type of music.”
空白后的“The concert was”和G项中的their first concert属于词汇复现,故应选G项。

    A篇
To help you understand what 5G is,and what it means to you,we've put together a handy guide here.
    What is 5G?
1 At its most basic level,5G will be used to make calls, send texts, and to simply get online. But it's going to be significantly faster than previous generations, and could open the door up to a range of exciting new uses.
    2
5G will use new higher radio frequencies to send out data, which are less cluttered(挤满的) and carry information much faster. While these higher bands are faster, they don't carry information as far. That's to say, smaller multiple input and output antennas(天线) will be used—boosting both signals and capacity. 3
Why is it better than 4G?
5G is expected to be faster than 4G,with some firms claiming it could be as much as 100 times quicker. The fastest 4G networks can deliver peak download speeds of around 300 Mbit/s. 4 In real life, this could allow you to download a full HD film in less than 10 seconds!
5G is also expected to have a lower latency(传输延迟时间),meaning there will be very little—if any—delay when you carry out tasks on a device. While this will help improve things like gaming experiences,it could also pave the way for safer selfdriving cars—in which even a short delay could be lifesaving. 5 Overall, this should mean that devices have a faster, more stable connection.
    A.How does 5G work?
    B.How will 5G affect you?
C.5G is short for“fifth generation mobile network.”
D.You'll probably need a new phone which is 5G capable.
E.In comparison 5G could offer download speeds of over 1Gb/s.
F.This means 5G will support up to 1,000 more devices per meter than 4G,according to 5G.co.uk.
G.Finally,5G will have a larger capacity, meaning networks will be able to deal with several apps at once.
1.C [根据小标题What is 5G?可知,C项5G is short for “fifth generation mobile network.”
根据该部分中的5G will use new higher radio frequencies to send out data...smaller multiple input and output antennas will be used可知,本段主要讲述了5G如何运行,故A项作小标题最能概括本段主旨。]
3.F [根据上文中的boosting both signals and capacity可知,F项中的This means 5G will support up to 1, 000 more devices per meter than 4G进一步解释了信号强和容量大的意义。
4.E [根据本段小标题Why is it better than 4G?以及上文中的The fastest 4G networks can deliver peak download speeds of around 300 Mbit/s可知,此处是对4G和5G作比较,故E项中的In comparison和5G,以及download speeds of over 1Gb/s是解题关键。]
5.G [根据下文中的Overall, this should mean that devices have a faster, more stable connection可知,上文是在列举5G的优点,一个是速度快,不卡;另一个是容量大,可以同时处理多个应用程序。
People have a huge influence on your life.“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with,”says American motivational speaker Jim Rohn. With this in mind, you should think about the people you're spending time with the same way you think about what you eat and how you're exercising.
6 ? And what are the benefits of surrounding yourself with these people?
7 . They provide you with motivation to achieve your goals, empower you to make the changes you need to succeed and cheer on your success. In the workplace, good people tend to be productive people. They're organized, create schedules they stick to and don't get easily distracted(分心的) from the end goal. And all these things help you to be more productive!
People are different. There are things that make you happy but might not make me happy. 8 . The key is finding the people that are good for you.
Remember that like attracts like. You need to be confident and be yourself. This will lead you to the people that are right for you. 9 .Resentment(怨恨) only leads to bitterness and unhappiness, and it's time to let it go.
10 , people who make you laugh, people who help you when you're in need, and people who truly care about you. They are the ones worth keeping in your life.Everyone else is just passing through.
A.How do you become a good person
B.You may also need to practice forgiveness
C.Good people will inspire you to be a better person
D.Surround yourself with people who make you happy
E.Your idea of support may differ from the next person's
F.What makes someone a good person to spend time with
G.Family members are the people that you spend the most time with
You may also need to与上文中的You need to在结构上并列。]
D项中的people who make you happy与该空后的people who make you laugh, people who help you ... people who truly care about you在结构上并列。]
    C篇
Since the early 1990s,the lithiumion(锂离子) battery has been the most suitable battery for portable electronic equipment.Today, they're commonly used for cellphones, computers, tablets, digital cameras, and other devices.
Lithiumion batteries have nearly twice the energy density (密度) of traditional nickel cadmium (镍镉) batteries. 11 In this way, their overall weight and size are reduced. This feature has important implications for cellphones and computers, because it makes these items more portable for consumers.
12 Lithiumion batteries retain(保留) no “memory” of their power capacity from previous charging cycles. Thus they require no scheduled cycling and can be fully refueled to their maximum capacity during each charging cycle.Other rechargeable battery types,in contrast, retain information from previous charging cycles, which wastes valuable storage space.Over time, this makes these rechargeable batteries hold less of a charge.
13 It is fragile and requires a protection circuit to maintain safe operation.A high load could overheat the pack and safety might be harmed. 14 With cycling and aging, the internal resistance increases. After 23 years of use,the pack often becomes unserviceable due to a large voltage(电压) drop caused by high internal resistance.
It should be noted, however, that producers are constantly making improvements on lithiumion batteries. 15 With such rapid progress, the use of lithiumion batteries will certainly expand further.
A.There is another disadvantage worth noting.
B.In other words, they carry more power in a smaller unit.
C.The lithiumion battery is also a battery that needs less care.
D.Storage in a cool place slows the aging process of lithiumion.
E.Despite its overall advantages, the lithiumion battery has its drawbacks.
F.New and improved chemical combinations are introduced every six months or so.
G.Attempts to develop rechargeable lithiumion batteries failed due to memory problems.
15.F [F项New and improved chemical combinations are introduced every six months or so具体解释了设空处后一句中的such rapid progress。]
Can creativity be taught? That's a question without a simple yes or no answer.Creativity may not be able to be taught directly, but what you can get better at is frequently targeting at the circumstances of life which bring the greatest chances for true creative expression. 16 ,but more like something which manifests(显现) itself inside those who learn to develop it and create the right conditions for it.
Limit your selection of tools to only the most vital. 17 .You'll be sharper than someone who merely fights with a larger set of tools.
Learn how to be resourceful. 18 .Creativity is not just about creating something new but making old things work better as well.Think of crazy possibilities as well as practical ones. You might find inspiration for a workable solution in one of your ideas.
Don't listen to feedback(反馈) and keep following your own path. The problem of asking for feedback is that the feedback will be given according to the person's past experience.Others will unconsciously push you in a direction that they see as the best. 19 .Just don't let criticism destroy your creativity during the creative process.
20 .Routines are positive if they strengthen a healthy creative consciousness and negative if they destroy that. The key is to discover a creative routine that puts you in a more creative mindset.
A.Creativity is not like a lightning strike

16.A [根据空后的but more like something, which...conditions for it可知,空处和后面的句子构成一个not...but...
17.E [由空前一句Limit your selection of tools to only the most vital可知,E项符合语境,承接上文。故选E项。]
18.D [空前一句Learn how to be resourceful中的resourceful和D项中的Resourcefulness相呼应。故选D项。]
19.F [根据该段的主题句Don't listen to feedback(反馈) and keep following your own path并结合空前一句Others will unconsciously push you in a direction that they see as the best可知,其他人的反馈意图是好的,但会伤害你的创造力,故选F项。]
A New Trend of Micro Museums Is Making Science Portable
Science museums are amazing. You can see large dinosaur bones from the huge creatures that disappeared thousands of years ago or take a look at cells under a microscope. 21 .
You can learn so much at a science museum if living close enough to one. However, for those who don't live in a city, getting a chance to visit science museums is not easy.“ 22 ,their influence is limited. There just aren't enough science museums,”said Charles Philipp.“And due to the high costs,it's unlikely that we'll be seeing a bunch of new traditional science museums popping up all over the country anytime soon.”
Philipp and his partner Amanda Schochet have decided to reinvent science museums by getting them small. They founded MICRO,a nonprofit organization that builds tiny 6foottall science museums, which are portable and replicable (可复制的). 23 .They can get access to it for free in such places as waiting rooms of hospitals, libraries, airports, and even shopping malls.
24 ,they made it with the help of a team of engineers, storytellers, and designers. Each of the micro museums has a scientific topic. The first museum is the Smallest Mollusk (软体动物) Museum showing the world of mollusks, which has won great popularity as the only museum devoted just to mollusks.A second museum is the Perpetual Motion Museum that focuses on physics and engineering and will officially open next year.It asks why things move, and why they stop. 25 .Hopefully one will come to a neighborhood near you soon.
    A.Science museums are beneficial
B.While the content is vitally important
C.Although it costs nothing to visit museums
D.The plan is to get people of all ages connected with science
E.Even though making the tiny museums a reality was difficult
F.Such new museums allow people to explore fun scientific topics
G.You can also learn to think like an engineer by building a model ship
There just aren't enough science museums可知,空处与后半句有转折关系,故B项合适:此处意为“尽管科学博物馆的内容非常重要,但是它们产生的影响有限”。]
24.E [根据上文对微型科学博物馆的描述及下文they made it with the help of a team of engineers, storytellers, and designers可知,建造这样的科学博物馆绝非易事,但他们成功了,故E项符合语境。]
