It was a Mnday mrning in May, and Mrs. Brwn was sitting in frnt f a new cmputer in the back f the rm. She was cnfused abut a prgram we were suppsed t use fr a math prject. My desk was near the cmputers, and I was watching her.
Mrs. Brwn lked at the screen, and then she lked at this bk, and then back at the screen again. Then she shk her head and let ut a deep sigh (叹气). I culd tell she was almst ready t call Mrs. Reed.
In fact, I was nt gd at using cmputers, either. But I knew hw t turn them n and pen prgrams, play games and type-simple things like that. S I gt up frm my desk, pinted at the screen, and said, “Mrs. Brwn,if yu duble-click n that little thing right there, then the prgram will start running. And then yu click n this, and that pens up the part abut number lines.”
S Mrs. Brwn did what I tld her and the prgram started running. Because that’s the way it wrks and anybdy knws that except the prgram started playing the music,
Mrs. Brwn smiled a huge smile at me and said,“Jake, yu’re wnderful!” And she said it s lud that every kid in the classrm stpped and turned t lk at us,just in time t see Mrs. Brwn pat ( 拍) me n the tp f my head.
