写作时,我们可以利用非谓语动词对两个简单句进行转换,使其成为较高级的表达方式。转换时可采用“三步法”:
第一步:写出两个简单句。
第二步:找准两个简单句的对接点,让一个句子作为主干,另一个句子用非谓语动词进行改写。
第三步:判断应用何种非谓语动词,把握好时态和语态,最后连接起来。
[示例]
第一步:写出两个简单句。
①In the newspaper f ur schl there is a clumn called “Freign Culture”.
②It aims t intrduce American custms and the life f high schl students.
第二步:让句①作主句,用非谓语动词改写句②。
第三步:让句②作定语,由于其动词aim与主语it之间为主谓关系,故用现在分词短语作定语。

其他几个转换的例子如下:
①It carries articles abut the cultures f their hme cuntries.They are written by freign friends.
→It carries articles written by freign friends abut the cultures f their hme cuntries.
②I went back hme prudly that afternn.I jumped with jy.
→I went back hme prudly that afternn, jumping with jy.

1.All the peple here like the nvel.It is written by Tm.
→All_the_peple_here_like_the_nvel_written_by_Tm.(用过去分词作定语)
2.The by came t schl late again.This made the teacher very angry.
→The_by’s_cming_t_schl_late_again_made_the_teacher_very_angry.(用动名词作主语)
3.The bys were making the mst f time.They wanted t finish the wrk earlier.
→The_bys_were_making_the_mst_f_time_s_as_t_finish_the_wrk_earlier.(用不定式作目的状语)
二、运用非谓语动词转换复合句
用非谓语动词转换复合句比转换简单句要容易一些,因为需转换的一般是从句部分,这时只需要判断用何种非谓语动词,再把握好时态和语态即可,所以只需两步。
[示例]
第一步:写出复合句。
Since yu have realized that yur time is limited, yu’ll have t study fr yur gals withut anger r hesitatin.
第二步:把since引导的原因状语从句转换为非谓语动词,realize与yu之间为主谓关系,且表示完成,故用现在分词的完成式作状语。
Having realized that yur time is limited, yu’ll have t study fr yur gals withut anger r hesitatin.

→Seeing_a_car_running_twards_her,_I_reached_my_hand_ut_and_pulled_her_back.

三、非谓语动词的常用句型
1.remain t be dne 有待于被……
Many questins have t be settled and much remains t be dne in ur educatinal wrk.
我们的教育工作中还有许多问题要解决,还有许多事情要去做。
2.疑问词+t d

3.连词when/while/nce/unless/althugh ...+ding/dne

当查找一些信息时,我们可以通过触摸屏来操作。
4.easy/difficult d ...
Sme bad habits such as smking and drinking aren’t easy t get rid f.
像吸烟、酗酒等一些坏习惯不容易改掉。
5.prefer t d than d rather d d d than d ..
.宁愿做……,而不愿做……
Nwadays sme teenagers prefer t chat with strangers nline rather than talk with their parents face t face.
如今,一些青少年宁愿在网上与陌生人闲谈也不愿与父母面对面谈话。
6.having dne ... 已经……

10.cmpared with/t ...与……比较

11.be said/reprted/cnsidered d ...据说/报道/认为……

12.with+宾语+补足语
