Arund 20 students frm the University f Malta tk part in a Chinese tea-tasting event n the campus n Wednesday t add a special flavr t their Chinese-language curse.
Fr mst students, it was their first time t receive an expert intrductin t the rich Chinese tea culture and traditinal ways f making tea, with special attentin t chsing the right water temperature fr Chinese tea.
The event was hsted by the Cnfucius Institute at the University f Malta. The master f the event was Sun Yi, a teacher at the institute. She started the event with a brief intrductin t Chinese tea culture, fllwed by a practical demnstratin f handling the different kinds f tea leaves. She described the central rle f tea in the daily life f Chinese peple and taught students hw t prnunce “drink”, “tea” and “gd” in Mandarin (普通话).
