    Wild pines have been grwing in Sctland cntinuusly since the ice age, ffering a glbally unique ecsystem supprting rare wildlife. But nw less than 2% f the riginal grwth survives, with just 14 individual Calednian pinewd sites nw fficially recgnized. “T meet the demand fr mre wd, many wild pines in Highlands have been remved t make rm fr cmmercial frestry,” says Rainey. “This was ften dne in ancient wdlands and was really damaging t the remaining trees.”

    The newly launched Crwdsurcing Rmeyka platfrm invites members f the public frm anywhere in the wrld t uplad audi recrdings f Rmeyka being spken. “Speech crwdsurcing is a new tl which helps speakers build a database f spken materials fr their endangered languages, allws researchers t dcument these languages, and mtivates speakers t appreciate their wn linguistic heritage (遗产). Once the bill was paid, hwever, the waiters had truble remembering the exact details f the rders.
    Zeigarnik did a series f experiments, in which participants were asked t cmplete simple tasks such as putting tgether puzzles, r slving math prblems. Half f the participants were interrupted partway thrugh ding these tasks. After an hur-lng wait, Zeigarnik asked the participants t describe what they had been wrking n.
