With mrning necessities cmpleted with speed and prficiency, then cmes the 15-minute walk t schl. Best f all, there’s the walk back: just me and the dg, enjying the silence. A mment t recharge and reset, ahead f a day’s wrk, and I am grateful fr the jy f my family, and perhaps mre grateful still that smene has just taken them ff my hands fr the day. Oh, what a beautiful mrning!

Last Friday, a special cncert tk place at the Natinal Theater f Krea. It included five different pieces f music. Tw were cnducted by a rbt called EveR 6, and tw were cnducted by S-Yeul Chi, wh leads the Busan Philharmnic Orchestra. Bth cnductrs wrked tgether n the final piece.

Every mvement f the rbt’s arms brught mre instruments int the mix, and the rchestra’s music grew luder and mre exciting.
Mr. Chi was impressed with the way EveR 6 mved. “The rbt was able t present such detailed mves much better than I had imagined,” he said. But the rbt still is nt nearly ready t replace a human cnductr. Mr. Chi says the rbt’s greatest weakness is that it can’t hear. “Sme peple think that cnducting is just a cmbinatin f hand waving and keeping the beat,” says Mr. Chi. But a gd cnductr needs t listen t the rchestra, s that he r she can crrect and encurage the rchestra as it plays.

32.What is the main disadvantage f EveR 6?
A.It cannt keep the beat steady.B.Its mvements are nt s natural.
C.It cannt shw emtins like humans.D.It lacks the ability f thinking independently.
33.What did the authr mean by saying that “the musicians had n chice but t fllw its beats”?
A.The rbt is prgrammed with crrect beats.
B.The musicians are nt allwed t cmmunicate.
C.The rbt is trained t be strict with the perfrmers.
D.The rbt cannt interact with the musicians.
34.What is Mr. Chi’s attitude tward EveR 6?
A.Negative.B.Objective.C.Subjective.D.Indifferent.
35.Which f the fllwing is a suitable title fr the passage?
A.Rbt EveR 6 cnducts an rchestra.B.A cmpetitin between human and rbt.
C.The pwer f AI rbt technlgy.D.Revive rchestral perfrmances in Krea.

With my yungest, 11, it’s Tik Tk and FaceTime with her friends. With my middle ne, 14, it’s SnapChat with his classmates. And with my eldest, 18, it’s Tinder with, well, Gd nly knws.
What I d knw, is that my kids’ reliance n their mbile phnes is becming pathlgical (病态的). They all wander arund the huse with smart phnes permanently in their hands.
They walk in and ut f the tilet staring at the screen, they cme dwn t dinner staring at the screen and nly put it dwn because they can’t feed themselves using the screen. Gd knws what their screen time weekly reprt ntificatins wuld read.
Hwever, ne huse rule that I managed t enfrce was that they weren’t allwed their phnes in their rms vernight and there was a bed time phne amnesty (赦免) in place where they wuld all, very reluctantly, hand ver their device fr vernight charging.
Nw, I must cnfess that, ccasinally, I “frgt” t charge ne f the phnes, s that at least I wuld get ne f them t be a little mre present the fllwing mrning at breakfast and I might hear smething abut their upcming day, rather than being cmpletely ignred.
I never frgt t charge the same phne twice in ne week and s n ne seemed t get wise t my tricks, hwever this embldened me t take my cheating t new levels.
Any phne left unguarded wuld be quickly kidnapped and whisked away t an undisclsed lcatin, nly t mysteriusly reappear when I deemed that its wner had engaged with the real wrld fr a sufficient amunt f time.
Then ne night in February, it happened. A big strm hit ur rural village and we had a pwer cut. “Dad!” They screamed, ignrant f the sudden lack f light and heat and nly cncerned with the sudden lack f Wi-Fi. It began t dawn n them that they were faced with the living hell f being ff line and ff their phnes fr an amunt f time.
