    林巧稚(1901年12月23日—1983年4月22日),福建厦门人。医学家,医学教育家,中国科学院学部委员(院士)。生前是北京协和医院妇产科主任,中国医学科学院副院长。与新中国第一代西医金学曙等一同被誉为“中国近现代史上的20位杰出女性”。 林巧稚1929年毕业于北京协和医科大学;1931年任北京协和医院妇产科助教;1937年任北京协和医院妇产科副教授;1940年任北京协和医院妇产科主任;1955年当选为中国科学院学部委员(院士);1959年先后任北京妇产医院院长、中国医学科学院副院长; 1983年4月22日逝世于北京,享年82岁。林巧稚主要从事妇产科学的研究工作。
