[2023·南昌市高三摸底测试卷]The use f scial media has been linked t mental health prblems in teenagers. But a new study frm England argues that the issue may be mre cmplex than experts think.
The new research interviewed 10,000 teenagers, wh reprted the frequency they used scial media. The frequency f mre than three times a day was cnsidered “very frequent”. But the researchers, fr the first time, went a step further t investigate what kind f websites made the teenagers frequenters. They fund that, in bth sexes, very frequent visits t scial media with negative (负面的) cntents were assciated with greater mental depressin and anxiety.

Bb Pattn, a lecturer at the University f Surrey, said this means that remedies fcusing nly n reducing the use f scial media t imprve mental health might nt help. “Finding ways t imprve the nline cntents and prmte better sleep and exercise is needed t reduce physical and psychlgical harm,” said he.
“If healthy lifestyles can be kept, the psitive effects f the use f scial media, such as encuraging scial interactins, can be mre supprted,” said Ann DeSmet, an assistant prfessr at the University f Antwerp in Belgium.
12.Hw des the new research differ frm the previus studies?

B.Its abuse may negatively change the healthy lifestyle.
C.Its harmful cntents shuld be reduced immediately.
D.It encuraged scial interactins amng adlescents.
