Summer music festivals are in full swing, which means that thusands f enthusiastic fans are camping nearby, ready t party. Big prblems appear, hwever, when it cmes time fr them t leave. They just thrw their things away and leave them fr smene else t clean up—usually waste cntractrs(承包方)hired by the music festival. They cllect all things and thrw them unsrted int a landfill.
Music festivals are envirnmental disasters when it cmes t the amunt f trash prduced, and this results mstly frm festival-gers’ strange dispsable(用完即弃的)mentality. An estimated 80 percent f trash prduced by music festivals cmes frm what’s left behind by campers, such as sleeping bags, camp chairs, clthes, rubber bts and leftver fd.
After the Isle f Wight Festival in the UK saw 10,000 abandned(被丢弃的)tents in 2011, sme envirnmentally-minded peple decided t take actin. An internatinal mvement called “Lve Yur Tent” was started. The mvement tk ver a single campgrund at the festival and ensured that every persn wh wanted t camp there signed a cnduct agreement that included prmising t take their camping equipment hme. Its first year in 2012 was a success.
Unfrtunately, it cntinues t be a battle. When “Lve Yur Tent” did a survey f students at Buckinghamshire New University last year, the result shwed that 60 percent f participants admitted t leaving tents behind in the past, even thugh 86 percent recgnized that waste has an impact n the envirnment.
One majr impediment t waste reductin is that camping equipment is cheap and f pr quality s that nbdy sees the sense in packing up a dirty tent and taking it hme t clean and reuse.
While there’s n easy slutin t this trash disaster, it’s clear that music festival rganizers need t take respnsibility fr what their event creates, and demand that campers clean up their act. Organizers culd als prvide tent-recycling facilities fr thse peple wh keep leaving tents behind. Camping, which is suppsed t be a celebratin f music, shuld never becme a trash fest(集会).

Our latest study has shwn that eating mre fermented fds(发酵食物)(such as ygurt and raw cheese)and fiber daily fr just fur weeks has a significant effect n lwering stress levels.

At bth the start and halfway thrugh the study, peple in this grup were tld they shuld aim t include 6-8 servings daily f fruits and vegetables high in fiber(such as nins, cabbage, apples and bananas), and 2-3 servings f fermented fds daily.
