The researchers then asked 405 peple t judge the true nature f six truthful and six deceptive statements randmly chsen frm the interviews. Arund half f the participants used multiple cues t identify liars. The remaining participants slely ranked the level f detail in answers n a scale f 1 t 10, with1 a 6 r abve cunting as truthful. Thse using multiple cues distinguished lies frm the truth 59% f the time, while thse relying slely n detail achieved 66%.
