Step 1: Consolidation1.Sing a song 2. Make a daily talk. T: Good morning/afternoon, A. How are you? A: I’m fine, thank you. 3. Watch and tick
(2) Play a game Let students read the dialogue. Act out the dialogue with three students to make a model. Lead students to play the game in groups. Let students ask and answer in a chain by using their real names. The fastest group can get the prize.
Step 2: Lead-in1. Mike and Sarah are going to school, show a picture of them, ask Ss to introduce them. 2. Show the dialogue of PA Let’s talk. Ask Ss to fill in the blanks. 3. The sun goes down, explain that Mike will invite Sarah to play.
Step 3: Presentation1. Watch and predict Show the picture of “Let’s talk”. Let students look at the picture carefully. Play the video and ask them: Where are they going to play?
2. Watch and answer Play the left part. Ask Ss to answer these two questions: (1) How do they greet? (2) What are they going to do?
3. Language points (1) Teach the pronunciation of “very well” and “thanks”. Let students read one by one. (2) Explain that thank you = thanks.
4. Teach the sentence structure – Let’s… Great! (1) Show a picture of a puppet and teach the word “puppet”“make the puppet”. Let students listen and repeat the sentence. (2) Help students get the meaning of “great” by body language. Compare it with “OK”. (3) Pair work Show several action pictures, ask Ss to use the sentence structure we’ve just learnt.
Step 4: Practice 1. Look and match 2. Play a game: Sentence building Ss need to point the balloons as orders to help the car move. 3. Show time Let students wear the headdresses and act out the dialogue, then show it to the class.
Step5 Emotional education Play a video about sharing. Let Ss know that sharing is very important.
Step6 Summary 1. How are you? 的常用答语: I’m fine, thank you. / Very well, thanks. 2. 建议某人一起做某事的句型及其答语: -Let’s … - OK! / Great!
