一、目标:
1. 识记:知识梳理中的词汇、句型及重点固定搭配。
2. 理解:①掌握could与should的用法。
②提建议的表达方式。
③怎样写提建议的短文。
- 运用:①本单元以谈论问题为主要话题,引入表示建议的日常交际用语

(一)句型与词汇:
1.句型
① — You look tired. What’s the matter ?/What’s wrong with you ?

-- He should talk to his friend so that he can say he’s sorry.

-- I guess I could, but I don’t want to surprise him.
2. 单词:① cause(n. & v.), copy(n. & v.), offer(n. & v.), communicate(n.
communication), development(v. develop), compete(n. competition),
pressure(v. press);
② allow, guess, argue, offer, explain, return, continue, push;
③deal, relation, member, opinion, skill, football;
④wrong, cloud(adj. cloudy), elder, nervous, proper, clear, typical, quick,
crazy, usual;
⑤instead, secondly, anymore, perhaps;
⑥whatever
(二)语法:
1. 情态动词could和should都可以表示委婉的建议。
① -- What should he do ?
-- He should talk to his friend so that he can say he is sorry.
② -- Maybe you could go to his house.
-- I guess I could, but I don’t want to surprise him.
2. 提建议的表达方式
①Why don’t you forget about it ?
② Why not meet at the school gate at eight ?
③ Could you please tell me how to get to the post office ?
④ Would you please go hiking with me ?
⑤What about writing back to him about it ?
(三)重点固定搭配
1. look through 快速查看;浏览
e.g. I found my sister looking through my things yesterday.
2. work out 成功地发展;解决
e.g. Hope things work out.
Finally Jack worked out the problem.
3. get on with 和睦相处;关系良好
e.g. Tom gets on well with his classmates.
4. cut out删除;删去
e.g. Maybe I could cut out a few of their activities, but I believe these activities are important for students’ future.
5. compare…with比较;对比
e.g. The parents always compare their children with other children.
6. in one’s opinion 依......看
e.g. In my opinion, it is important for children to communicate with their parents.
7. keep on doing…继续做某事
e.g. She kept on working although she was tired.
8. communicate with sb. 与某人沟通交流
e.g. Why don’t you sit down and communicate with your brother ?
