    【教材原文】Neither t much nr t little is gd.(page 16)太多和太少都不好。句法分析句中“既不……也不……”,连接的是句子的两个主语,句子的谓语动词与就近的主语在人称和数上保持一致,即遵循“就近一致原则”。
    遵循“就近一致原则”的结构还有:there be...有……或者……或者……不是……而是……无论……还是……nt als...不但……而且……

    动词不定式做主语一、不定式做主语的用法1.不定式位于句首,直接做主语,谓语动词用单数。T lk after these naughty bys is really difficult.照看这些淘气的男孩真的很难。
    2.用it做形式主语。为了避免头重脚轻,常用it做形式主语放在句首,做主语的不定式常置于句末。It's imprtant t answer her questins as hnestly as yu can.尽可能如实回答她的问题很重要。It's wrng t make fun f peple just because they're ld.仅因为人老了就取笑他们是错误的。
    温馨提示(1)若要说明不定式表示的动作的发出者的话,要在不定式前加fr引起的短语,构成“fr+名词(或代词宾格)+不定式”短语,这一短语被称为不定式的复合结构。
    (2)在“It is+adj.+不定式复合结构”句型中,当其中的形容词是说明逻辑主语的性质、品质时,要由f引出逻辑主语,不能用fr。这类形容词主要有clever,flish,kind,nice,plite,silly,stupid,wise等。 It's easy fr him t wrk ut this math prblem. 对他来说解出这道数学题很容易。 It was careless f him t make such a mistake. =He was careless t make such a mistake. 出了这样的错误,他太粗心了。
    二、动词不定式与动词-ing形式做主语的区别表示具体的、一次性的或将来的动作用不定式;表示一般的、泛指的或习惯性的行为用动名词。T save mney nw is nt easy.现在攒钱不容易。Walking is a gd frm f exercise fr bth yung and ld.散步是一种老少皆宜的很好的运动方式。
    温馨提示(1)有时不定式做主语相当于一个条件状语从句。 T lve thers is t be lved. 爱人即爱己。(If yu lve thers,yu will be lved by thers.)
    (2)如果做主语的不定式短语是“及物动词+宾语”,则可以把这个宾语转换为主语,而把不定式移到句尾。 The museum requires ne millin dllars t build. =T build the museum requires ne millin dllars. 建造这个博物馆需要一百万美元。 The matter is hard t deal with. =T deal with the matter is hard. 处理这件事很难。
    三、“疑问词+不定式”结构动词不定式可与疑问词when、where、hw、what、which、wh等组合,构成不定式短语,在句中主要做主语、宾语和表语。Where t put the bikes is being discussed.把自行车放哪儿正在讨论当中。D yu knw hw t play bridge?你知道怎么打桥牌吗?The questin is wh t elect.问题是选谁。
