1.帮助学生学习Look and learn中的生词。
2.通过猜谜活动,帮助学生巩固所学词汇。

【教学过程】
Pre-task preparations
1.出示挂图,然后给出一些谜语,请学生猜一猜说的是哪一种水果。然后请学生模仿朗读谜语,或创作有关水果的谜语。
2.出示不同水果的图片,请学生回答问题,用替换横线内容的方式创编儿歌。
T: (show a picture of a banana) Do you eat bananas in autumn?
Ss: Yes!
T: What color is a banana?
Ss: It's yellow.
T: What is it like?
Ss: It's long.
T: Is a banana sweet and soft?
Ss: Yes, it's sweet and soft.
然后学生和教师一起朗读新儿歌。教师可以根据学生的实际情况,自己朗读学生不会认读的部分。
In autumn, we often sit around
And enjoy a fruit.
It's yellow and long.
It's sweet and soft inside.
We all like to eat.
What is this fruit? Can you guess?
It's a banana!
Yes, yes, yes!
While-task procedures
1.拿着水果图片,用儿歌中的内容引出单词grape和strawberry,然后请学生跟读并拼读单词。
T: (hold the picture of a grape) In summer, we often sit around and enjoy a fruit that is purple and round. It's sweet and juicy. We all like to eat. What is this fruit? Yes, it's a grape.
T: Now, read after me. Grape. G-R-A-P-E, grape.
Ss: Grape. G-R-A-P-E, grape.
然后通过单词游戏帮助学生操练和巩固单词。Quick response:逐一出示单词卡片,让学生快速反应,说出单词。
T: (show the flashcard for grape)
Ss: Grape.
出示单词卡片,说单词,让学生判断正误。
T: (show the flashcard for strawberry) A peach.
Ss: No. It's a strawberry.
T: (show the flashcard for grape) An apple.
Ss: No. It's a grape.

2.出示下列表格,对Look and learn中出现的水果进行提问,请学生回答问题,并在表格中填上正确的形容词。

T: (show the picture of a watermelon) Everybody, look at this picture. It's a watermelon. What color is it?
S1: It's green.
T: That's right. (write green in the form) Is the watermelon big or small? (compare the watermelon with a grape)
S2: It's big.
T: Well done. (write big in the form, touch the watermelon) How does it feel?
S3: It's smooth and hard.
T: Wonderful. (write smooth and hard in the form)
3.出示水果实物,教师拿起一片西瓜边闻边说:Oh! Watermelon! I like it. Let me smell it. It's nice. 板书smell,请学生说出它们的中文意思,并请学生跟读。给学生发出指令,帮助学生理解并记住smell的用法。
T: Smell the strawberry.
Ss: (smell a strawberry)
4.在活动2中表格的右侧添加两列,并写上smell和taste。

首先,请部分学生先闻一闻这些水果,然后再尝尝它们的味道,通过提问引导学生用正确的形容词回答,并把学生的回答填在表格内。
T: Smell the watermelon. How does it smell?
S1: It's nice, (write nice in the form)
T: Taste this piece of watermelon. How is it?
S1: (taste the watermelon) It's sweet/yummy/ nice, (write sweet/yummy/nice in the form)
Post-task activities
1.学生拿出预先准备好的水果进行猜谜活动。教师把对话模板写在黑板上,供学生参考模仿。
S1: Close your eyes, please.
S2: OK.
S1: Smell it. How does it smell?
S2: It's nice.
S1: Taste it. How does it taste?
S2: It's sweet and soft.
S1: What is it?
S2: It's a banana.
2.学生画一个他们最喜欢的水果,并在旁边写几句话描述这个水果的触觉、大小和色香味。
S1: (draw a watermelon on the paper) This is a watermelon. It's big and green. Touch it. It's hard and smooth. Smell it. It's very nice. Taste it. It's sweet and juicy. I like watermelons very much.
然后,请部分学生上来展示它们的作品并进行口头介绍。
S2: This is a grape. It's purple. It's small. Touch it. It's soft and smooth. Smell it. It's nice. Taste it. It's sweet. We often eat it in summer.
