教材分析
1. Analysis of the Students
The students of Grade5 have mastered certain vocabularies, expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English as well as act the dialogue out.
2. Analysis of Teaching Content
Lesson 16 is the fourth lesson in Unit 3, Book 9.This unit focus on the subject Writing Home, Lesson 16 mainly talks about the form of email. It conclude address, topic and content.

Improve the students’ ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Stimulate interest in learning English, and development of the students’ ability of using synthetic language.

Students can master the method of email.
课前准备
Tape recorder, Multimedia
教学过程
Step 1. Warm-up
- Greeting:
T: Hello,everyone. How are you?
Ss: Fine, thank you. And you?
T: I`m fine , thanks. Nice to see you again.
Ss: Glad to see you again.
T: What would you like?
Ss: ... ... .
- Sing the song.
Step 2. Presentation and practice
- Lead in:
Teacher show the picture of email, and ask students what the email they know. Then let students introduce it.
- Learn the text.
(1) Watch the video and answer the question:
What are the advantages of email?
(2) Check the answer.
(3) Explain the form of email. Teacher teach them according to the pictures.
- Show the picture of email, and explain the address.
- Show the picture of email, and explain the topic.
- Show the picture of email, and explain the contents.
(4) Know more emails of China.

Step 3. Consolidation
- Write an email.
Show the computer and write the email. Then show your email to us.

(4) Sing together.
Step 4. Summary
Choose a student to summarize the knowledge what we have learned.
Step 5. Homework
1. Recite the new words.
2. Write an email to your parents.
