Unit 1 Nothing is more enjoyable than playing tennis.
一、教学目标
1. 能够掌握新词汇和短语:baseball, volleyball, boring, exciting, relaxing, score, already, plenty of, mind doing sth.等。
2. 能够掌握重点句型:
Last week the match on TV was so boring because no one scored at all.
So this week’s match is already more exciting.
There’s still plenty of time for them to score.
Yes, watching is not dangerous and it’s more relaxing too!
Nothing is more enjoyable than playing tennis.
3. 能够听懂关于体育运动的表述,同时听懂对不同体育运动的比较。
4. 能够用形容词及副词的比较级谈论自己喜爱的运动,发表不同的观点。
5. 能向同学介绍自己喜欢的体育项目。
6. 能够了解不同的体育运动,了解不同人的体育爱好,培养对体育运动的兴趣。
二、教学重点及难点
重点:
1. 掌握本单元的新单词和短语。
2. 掌握形容词及副词的比较级的使用和结构。
难点:
1. 运用形容词及副词的比较级谈论自己喜爱的运动,发表不同的观点。
2. 运用形容词及副词的比较级形式比较不同的体育项目。
三、教学准备
1. 多媒体设备和课件;
2. 设计课后巩固练习;
3. 教学图片。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
Look at the pictures and talk about them.
T: What sports do you know?

【设计意图】通过向学生展示各类运动的图片,自然地引入本课有关运动的话题。
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. Think and say
T: What’s your favorite sport? Why?
S3: My fa favorite sport is…because…
【设计意图】学习有关运动的词汇,为下面的听力教学做铺垫。
2. Listen and number the sports as they hear them.
3. Match the words with the pictures.
【设计意图】本活动要求学生听一段关于体育运动的对话回答问题,在练习听力的同时也练习了本单元表示体育运动的词汇。
4. Look at the sports in Activity 1 and talk about them. Use the words in the box to help them.
【设计意图】本活动是上一活动的延续,要求学生根据自己的感受对活动1中的各项体育运动进行描述和比较,并充分利用所给的描述性形容词表达个人的观点和理由。
Step 3 While-listening
1. Listen and answer the questions.
2. Listen again and check (√) the true sentences.
【设计意图】阅读活动旨在训练学生的阅读理解能力。在阅读过程中,既训练了学生获取文章主旨的技能,又引导学生关注细节信息的获取、理解及判断。
Step 4 Post-listening
1. Role-play the conversation.
【设计意图】通过角色扮演,帮助学生在情境中加深对话题语言的口语模仿。
2. Learn some Language points.
(1) What’s the score? 比分是多少?
score此处用作可数名词,意为“(比赛中)得分,比分,(测验的)成绩”。
(2) Last week the match on TV was so boring because no one scored at all. 上周电视上的比赛很枯燥,因为根本没有人进球。
① boring是形容词,意为“烦人的;无聊的”。boring常用来修饰物,指事物本身无聊。
② (not) at all 意为“一点儿也(不),根本(不)”。
(3) So this week’s match is already more exciting. 所以这周的比赛已经令人兴奋多了。
(4) And I hurt my knee. 而且我伤到了膝盖。
(5) Oh, he missed! 哦,他未射中!
(6) Never mind. 没关系。
(7) There’s still plenty of time for them to score. 他们还有很多时间可以得分。

3. Complete the sentences with the words in the box.
4. Ss discuss their answers with their partners.
