Lesson 18 The Snowman
1.能够正确听、说、读写单词:summer,autumn,warm,rain,wind,snowy,ice,open和play in the snow,put on,take off等动词短语。
2.能够正确听、说、认读和使用句子:
John put on his hat.
He took off his hat and put it on the snowman.
You can talk!

3.能够在季节的话题背景下,根据教师的简单提示读懂Story Time的小故事。明白文章大意,回答问题并体会文章背后蕴含的情感。
4.通过本课幽默小故事的学习,激发学生热爱自然、乐于助人的良好品质;也使英语学习更具趣味化,提高学生的综合语言运用能力。

能够理解文章大意,并准确回答相关问题。
难点
能够用英语准确描述故事内容;初步理解和使用一般过去时表达对过去发生的事情。
Step 1 Warming up
1.Play a guessing game.
Guess out the activities according to the teacher's performance.教师表演动作,让学生根据教师的动作做出相应回答。
eg:Ask:What do you like to do in…?
Answer:I like/love to…in…
2.Free talk.
教师运用多媒体展示上周末去游玩的照片,并向学生介绍I went to the theme park last week and I had a good time.然后在此情景中自然地与学生进行对话。
T:I went to the theme park with my friends last week.We enjoyed ourselves.Where did you go last weekend?
S:I went to…/I played in…
T:That sounds great!
然后让学生分组编对话,并分组展示表演,使语言真正地被运用。
Step 2 Presentation
1.Learn Part 1.
(1)出示John堆雪人情景中的教学挂图,让学生观察并准备回答以下问题:
①What did John do in the snow?
②How was the weather on that day?
(2)学生仔细观察图片,通过观察图片上的信息回答老师的问题:
①He played in the snow and made a snowman.
②It was cold and snowy.
(通过听录音,完成探究学习中第2题;完成后核对答案)
(3)指名朗读Part 1,并翻译主要句子的中文意思,掌握单词、句子读法。
(4)教师领读Part 1,学生模仿、齐读练习、小组叙述。
2.Learn Part 2.
(1)教师出示Part 2的图片,并让学生快速阅读这部分内容,选出这段主题:
A.John made a big snowman and he was surprised.
B.John found that the snowman could talk when he put his hat on the snowman.
C.John thought the snowman had a wonderful name.
D.John didn't put his hat on the snowman
because it was cold.
学生小组讨论,选出这部分的主要内容。
(2)听录音,模仿朗读,理解Part 2的内容,并完成探究学习第3题。
(3)引导学生想象小雪人的声音并尝试朗读Part 2,并翻译主要句子的中文意思,掌握单词、句子读法。
(4)分角色朗读对话,教师播放动画视频,学生分组进行对话交流。
3.Learn Parts 3-5.
让学生带着问题仔细阅读课文第3、4、5部分,并完成探究学习中的第4题。
Step 3 Practice
1.以小组的形式分角色朗读课文,进行对话表演,并讨论回答以下问题:
What can the snowman do?
Why was the snowman sad?
What did John do for the snowman?
2.根据故事情节,你能续写妈妈打开冰箱后的故事吗?
Step 4 Consolidation
完成探究学习中的第1题:
