一、完形填空
I’ve always been intrigued by scars. I find it funny when people are ashamed of the scars they have 1 their bodies. To me, scars shine a light on who a person 2 is.
I have far too many stories to 3 about my scars. Of course, I’ve got the usual kind that everyone has from when they were clumsy little kids. Like the ones on my knees and elbows. But I also have the kind of scars that tell a more valuable and complex story.
I was born in the year 2000. My parents knew before I was born that I’d be handful (难管的人) because I was diagnosed(诊断) with a variety of 4 issues while still in the womb(子宫).
Ten days after I was born, I had my first surgery, gaining my first of many scars. I 5 myself to be quite different because my experiences are rare and very 6 people have the same scar as I do. It’s original, like me.
Then, after several more months of going in and out of the hospital, I received my biggest and most meaningful scar from a six-hour open-heart surgery. This one runs all the way vertically(垂直地) down my chest. Typically, the heart is a symbol of 7 , so I see this scar as representative of my ability to love.
Today, I am completely healthy. 8 I still go to the hospital for yearly check-ups, my heart condition does not make my life worse. I’m able to 9 any physical activity that I please without worries. If it weren’t for my scars, nobody would know I am any different from the next person.
The thing is, I love my scars. I wear them as badges of bravery and survival. They’re conversation starters. I often feel angry when people complain about their scars and I wonder why they would want to hide their best stories. I wonder why they call their survival an imperfection (不完美). If you have a scar, big or small, be 10 of it. It’s part of who you are.

I Remember
Looking back at these past three years
I remember many things
Trying to be on time for morning readings
Running the lunch bell rings
I remember the excitement
Of the school sports day each year
The many long hours of training
Pride of overcoming fear
I remember starting day one
The shyest in my whole class
Never speaking to anyone
And thinking I would not pass
Then slowly I made some new friends
To remember forever
Helping each other with homework
Getting better together
Preparing for art festivals
And making a great big mess
Have fun at New Year’s parties
Wishing everyone the best
We have learned a different language
That is from a foreign land
English brings many challenges
We work hard to understand it
And now it’s time to graduate
We will leave our lovely school
I can’t believe it has been three years
I’m trying to keep my cool

And our kind and caring teachers
Wonderful memories of ours

“I came on purpose to find you. Jane Eyre,” said she. “I want you in my room, and as Helen Burns is with you, she may come too.”
We followed Miss Temple to her apartment. It had a good fire, and looked cheerful. Miss Temple told Helen Bums to be seated in a low arm-chair on one side of the fire place, and herself taking another, she called me to her side.
“Is it all over?” she asked, looking down at my face. “Have you cried your sadness away?”

“Shall I, Miss Temple?”

In the 1960s, a musical group composed a popular song titled Monday, Monday: “Every other day of the week is fine, yeah. But whenever Monday comes, you can find me crying all of the time.” When talking about days of the week, Monday gets little expectation. I surveyed friends, and the results were very clear. When asked which day of the week they like the least, 90 percent of my friends chose Monday. Not one person thought of Monday as his or her favorite day.
First of all, consider all the good things that happen on Mondays. If you are a sports fan, you may get to watch Monday Night Football in the fall. Furthermore, quite a few public holidays, are celebrated on Mondays. That means that several times a year, a Monday provides a three-day weekend. And according to websites, Monday is the best day to do shopping because there aren’t as many people shopping on the first day of the workweek. Experts say that you can also get the best online deals on Mondays. This is especially true for electronics, such as computers, TVs, and video games.
To me, however, there’s something even more important about Mondays. Each Monday stands for a new beginning. For example, last week I got behind on my homework and had to spend the weekend catching up. But as soon as Monday arrived, I had a clean slate. Another week I forgot to do some of my chores, so I had to give up going to a movie with my friends on the weekend.
I also love Mondays because we usually start new lessons at school at the beginning of the week. While last week’s topics may have been boring, Monday can bring a new book to read, more experiments to do, or math problems to work out. Besides, I always become full of energy on Mondays after getting enough sleep at weekends.
I realize that I am probably not going to make everyone believe that Monday is the best day of the week, but hopefully I can encourage a few people to change. The next time a Monday comes, think about all the good things that could happen and look forward to the day instead of fearing it.
There’s no way to avoid Mondays, so join me in making the best of them. Who knows? You might even start liking the first day of the workweek.
21.Why did the song Monday, Monday become popular?
A.They enjoyed to be warmed up by the song.
B.The song encouraged them to like Mondays.
C.The song expressed how they disliked Mondays.
D.The song always made them cry all of the time.
22.The words “a clean slate” in Paragraph 3 probably mean ________.
A.a good rest B.a sudden stop C.a new lesson D.a fresh start
23.The sentence “But in fact, I think that Monday is actually the best day of the week.” can be best put at ________.
A.the end of the first paragraph B.the beginning of the third paragraph
C.the beginning of the fourth paragraph D.the end of the fifth paragraph
24.The writer might agree that ________.
A.it’s better to be energetic on Mondays
B.students behave best on Mondays at school
C.a three-day holiday should be offered every week
D.we should try our best to encourage most people
25.What is the best title of the passage?

B.To make the best of Mondays
C.To turn Mondays into holidays
D.To improve yourself on Mondays

57.例文:
Online rumors
Fast changing online information makes it difficult for us to tell whether it’s true or not. Some people post online rumors to draw others’ attention. Sometimes they even tell lies to annoy others on purpose just for fun.
During the epidemic, an online rumor flew to every corner of streets—there won’t be enough rice in a short time. That made people so worried that they rushed to supermarkets and bought a lot more rice than they need. People who posted this rumor enjoyed spreading fear and panic. Therefore when we see some online rumors we need to keep calm. More importantly, we should never post them without thinking.
Pinocchio’s nose gets longer and longer because of telling lies and those people will certainly get punished for posting online rumors. What we should do is to keep a cool head.
