    Then we thught abut it fr a bit, and then Emily brightened. “What if we d a friendly gssip clumn instead? We can call it an p­gp clumn!” And that was exactly what we did.     [2023·云南省第一次高中毕业生统一检测]This year, new technlgies will enable mre drivers t take their hands ff the steering wheel (方向盘) while n the rad. But that desn't mean their cars will be fully self­driving—that day still remains far in the future.
    Autmakers like General Mtrs (GM), Frd and Stellantis are intrducing, r upgrading existing technlgies. But in the wrds f Kay Stepper, an autmated driving expert, these systems are “feet ff” and “hands ff”, but they will nt be “eyes ff” r “mind ff”.

    GM's Super Cruise system allws drivers t cmpletely let g f the steering wheel while driving n selected highways. It was intrduced in 2017 n the Cadillac CT6 sedan, which was discntinued last year. An imprved versin is cming this year n the Cadillac Escalade SUV and the Cadillac CT4 and CT5 sedans.
    Super Cruise nly wrks n highways that have been previusly laser­mapped in three dimensins. GPS psitining and the vehicles' radar sensrs (传感器) and cameras are used t enable drivers t unhand all the cntrls.
