Step 5 Further reading Activity 1 1. Get the students to read the first part—Diet. Answer the following questions. (1) How many times do you need to feed a dog aged 3 months? Step 8 Language points 1. How to take care of your new puppy如何照料你家新来的小狗 take care of照看;照料;照顾 后接名词或名词短语、代词。相当于look after或care for。 You should take care of your bird.你应该照顾你的鸟儿。 My sister is ill. I should take care of her.我妹妹生病了。我应该照顾她。 2. Feed him/her 3—4 times every day.每天喂他/她3~4次。 (1)祈使句: 祈使句是用于表达命令、请求、劝告、警告、禁止等的句子。常省略主语,以动词原形开头。 Add some milk to the water.在水中加些牛奶。 (2)feed〔及物动词〕喂(养),饲养 feed…to…把……喂给…… Can you feed the dog for me?你能给我喂狗吗? The cat is thirsty. Let’s feed some water to her. 这只猫渴了。我们给她喂些水吧。 3.
