While-task procedure
| 1.Look and learn (1) Show the following sentence to students: I need a lot of time to look after my puppy. Then teach them the new phrase: take care of Ask students to read it for several times. (2) Show students two pictures and ask them the following questions: a) What is the man doing in the photo? He is feeding the dog. b) What kind of food should we give a puppy to eat? Special dog food for puppies Ask students to read it for several times. (3) Show students a picture and teach the new word: chew Ask students to read it for several times. Show students all the pictures. 2. Listen and read (1) Ask students to listen to the recording of the first part of the text on p11 and repeat it sentence by sentence.. (2) Ask students to do soft reading by themselves.
3. Ask and answer Ask students to answer the following questions according to the text: (1) How many times a day do you need to feed a dog aged three months? Feed him/ her ___ times every day.
