Lesson 3: Welcome to Our School
设计说明 首先复习如何介绍他人,先以对话的形式进行,再以独白的形式进行;并由介绍Jack过渡到新学内容,由Li Ming和Jack的对话引入对学校场所的介绍。然后,利用图片、对话、独白等形式学习学校场所的名称及其功能;并以此为依托,通过不同形式的听和阅读完成Let’s Do it!中No.1的听力任务、No.3的填空任务和No.2的选短语完成句子的任务。最后,对学习内容进行拓展提升,完成No.4的任务。整个教学过程集中体现了阅读与练习的交叉进行。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:show, around, classroom, office, plan, fun, lab 接触单词:Jack, visiting 短语和句型:visiting student, show…around, have lessons, play sports, have fun 2.能力目标 (1)学会介绍学校处所及其功能; (2)能用英语描述自己周围的处所。 3.情感目标 养成熟悉周围环境、爱护学校设施的好习惯。 重点难点 1. 重点:本课节重点单词、短语、句型。 2. 难点:能用英语介绍处所及其功能。 教学准备 PPT 课件;课文及听力练习的录音;和处所相关的图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1. Review the conversation learnt last lesson in groups of three. A: B, this is my friend. B: What’s his/her name? A: His /Her name is C. He / She is from… B: Is he/she a student? A: Yes. He / She is in Class… B: Nice to meet you, C. C: Nice to meet you, too. 2. Introduce a person. After each conversation above, ask a fourth student to introduce C like this: This is my friend. His / Her name is… He / She is a student/… He / She is in Class… He / She is from… Step 2 Presentation 1. Introduce Jack. Firstly, by asking and answering between teacher and students like this: T: Who’s the boy? Ss: He’s Jack. T: Yes. He is a visiting student. Where is he from? Ss: He’s from Canada. At the same time, teach the new words Jack, visiting. Secondly, get the students to introduce Jack individually like this:
2. Teach the new phrase show…around. Say: Jack is a visiting student in Li Ming’s school. Now, Li Ming is talking with him.
Phrases: welcome to…欢迎来到…… let sb. do sth.让某人做某事 show sb. around (…)带领某人参观(……) Step 3 Presentation Introduce the places classroom, office, playground, library and lab using pictures by the following steps. 1. Show the pictures. 2. Present the names and uses of the places by asking and answering. 3. Practice the names and uses by having the conversation. 4. Introduce the places in two sentences each.
Step 4 Listening and reading Play the recording for the class to listen and repeat.
Step 5 Listening and numbering Get the class to listen to the statements and number the pictures. (Let’s Do It! No. 1) Answers: 4 3 5 1 2 Step 6 Listening, reading and filling 1. Get the class to read the passage following the recording. 2. Read the passage by themselves. 3. Finish Let’s Do It! No. 3. Let me show you around.让我带你参观吧。 (1) let sb. do sth.让某人做某事 Let him sing a song.让他唱首歌吧。 (2) show sb. around带领某人参观 show sb. around...带领某人参观…… Can you show me around? 你能带我参观一下吗? Danny often shows us around the city. 丹妮常带我们参观这座城市。 (3) show v. 指示,展示,给……看 show sb. sth. = show sth. to sb.给某人看某物 Please show me your watch. = Please show your watch to me. 请把你的手表给我看看。 3. We have lessons here.我们在这里上课。 have lessons = have a lesson 上课 have + 学科 + lessons = have a + 学科 + lesson 上……课 lesson可换作class。 We have lessons at 8:00 every day. 我们每天8点上课。 They have a Chinese lesson/class every day. 他们每天上一节语文课。 4. Our teachers plan their lessons here.我们老师在这里备课。 plan v. 计划 plan to do sth.计划做某事 You can plan your studies. 你可以计划你的学习。 I plan to visit you tomorrow. 我计划明天去拜访你。 【拓展】plan n. 计划 make a plan (for...)制订(……的)计划 We must make a plan for the next year. 我们必须为明年制订计划。 5. We play sports and have fun there. 我们在那儿进行体育运动,玩得很高兴。 (1) play sports = do sports 进行体育运动 I often play sports after school every afternoon. 每天下午放学后我经常进行体育运动。 (2) have fun = have a good time过得高兴,玩得愉快 have fun doing sth.做某事很高兴 Let’s go there and have fun. 咱们去那里玩吧。 We have fun playing games at the park. 我们在公园里玩游戏玩得很开心。 Step 11 Homework 1.
