Teaching Procedures Step 1 Revision T: How was your childhood? Did you use to have the same experience as the following? 设计意图:通过对儿时的回忆,来激发孩子们的学习兴趣,同时也教会了孩子们一些新单词,如老鹰抓小鸡;跳大绳孩童时的游戏。 Step2 New Pattern 1) Using pictures, teach students to practice the pattern. ---What things did you use to like when you were a kid? ---Did you use to like …? ---What other things did you use to like? 2) Teach the students some phrases P29-1a, and finish it. 设计意图:在Section A中,主要强调的是教会学生用used to be来描述人们过去的外貌情况;而Section B主要是教会学生用used to do sth.来讲述自己的喜好,从而知道如何正确的对比现在和过去的变化。该步骤的设计,目的是在一定语境中让学生掌握I used to like…,和I didn’t use to like…两个句型。 Step 3 Listening 1) Before listening Let the students discuss each picture P29-1a, and ask students some questions: ---What did she / he use to do when she / he was a kid? --- Did you use to like …? --- Yes, she did. / No, she didn’t. She didn’t use to like…. 2) While listening --- Listen to the tape and finish P 29-1c and check the answers together. --- Listen to the tape and finish P 29-1d and check the answers together. 3) After listening Ask the students to retell the passage according to 1d. 设计意图:从词到句,句再到篇的过渡,让孩子们在英语学习中,快速掌握所学知识。为接下来的作文作铺垫。 Step 4 Writing ---Ask the students to write a composition named “How I have changed”(5mins). ---Share the composition. 设计意图:目的在于检测孩子们对当堂课的掌握情况。通过写作告诉孩子们一个道理:我们不可能改变过去,但是我们可以改善未来。 Step 5 Homework
