    设计说明

    本课时学习谈论变化的相关对话。教学时通过一组过去常做的事的图片导入新课,然后让学生把过去与现在的爱好做对比,过渡到1a1b的活动中。通过不同的任务对听力材料深入理解,让学生多维度地利用听力材料,掌握知识点。最后通过结对练习,对比记忆,提高学生的语言运用能力。

    教学目标

    通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    学习本课时新单词及短语:ant, insect, be nervous about

    2.能力目标

    学会谈论过去和现在的喜恶及变化。

    3.情感目标

    通过学习,培养学生乐观积极的心态,正视自己的变化,扬长避短。

    重点难点

    1.重点:学会用used to结构描述或询问过去的情况。

    2.难点:学会描述人的行为变化

    教学准备

    PPT课件, 1c, 1d的录音

    教学过程

    Step 1 Lead-in

    Show the students some pictures and get them to talk about what things they used to do when they were a child.

    Step 2 Work on 1a

    Step 3 Work on 1b

    What other things did you use to like when you were a child? Write sentences in the box above. Then discuss them with a partner.

    B: I used to like dancing when I was a child.

    A: Did you use to like swimming when you were a child?

    B: Yes, I did. I used to like swimming when I was a child.

    A: I used to like collecting stamps when I was a child. What about you?

    B: Me, too!

    Step 4 Listening

    Work on 1c

    Listen and check the sentences you hear.

    Check the answers.

    Work on 1d

    Listen again. What do the girl and the boy say about things in the past and now? Fill in the chart.

    Read the tapescript and pay attention to the underlined sentences.

    Section B, 1c, 1d

    Girl: My six-year-old brother started school this week.

    Boy: Oh, that’s good. Life was great when I was six.

    Girl: Really? Why?

    Boy: Oh, school was really easy.

    Girl: Not for me. I didn’t use to like tests. Now I don’t worry about tests, but I really used to be very nervous about them.

    Boy: But the tests in primary school were easy!

    Girl: Well, yes, they weren’t too difficult. But I guess I wasn’t used to them yet. I think I still like high school more than primary school.

    Boy: But we used to play every day after school. Now we just study all the time.

    Girl: Yeah, but we used to have to wear the school uniform. Now we can wear whatever we like.

    Boy: I don’t mind wearing a school uniform. I don’t like thinking about what to wear every day! I do remember one bad thing about primary school though. I used to hate P.E. class. Now I love it.

    Girl: Oh, me, too!

    1. Read the dialogue aloud for a few minutes by yourself.

    2. Role play in groups.

    Compare yourself with your partner.

    A: I used to be nervous about tests all the time. What about you?

    B: Yes, me too. And I used to be afraid of making a speech in public.

    A: I used to ride my bike to school. What about you?

    B: Well, I used to walk to school.

    A: I used to hate P. E. class. What about you?

    B: I used to hate P. E. class, too. But now I love it.

    Step 6 Summary

    Get the students to have a summary about important language items.
