设计说明
本节课从复习本单元话题词汇与句型入手,通过让学生总结、做游戏等方式全面复习,激发学生的学习兴趣。通过看图片、师生问答导入新课的学习。在复习过程中,先仿写对话,分组表演;再小组合作填表、作报告;最后分组作调查;充分训练学生对知识的综合运用能力。
教学目标
1. 知识目标
(1)掌握单词:nurse。
(2)复习总结有关身体各部位的健康问题。
(3)复习用should提出建议。
2. 能力目标
(1)提高学生的写作能力及自主学习能力。
(2)通过自编自演对话,训练学生对本单元目标语言的综合运用能力。
3. 情感目标
学会一些必要的安全常识以及疾病、事故与伤害等健康问题的急救方法。
重点难点
1. 重点:
(1)掌握新单词:nurse。
(2)复习总结有关身体各部位的健康问题。
(3)能用should提出建议。
2. 难点:
用目标语言编写对话,提高对本单元目标语言的综合运用能力及写作能力。

1. 准备与健康问题有关的图片。
2. 准备多媒体课件。
教学过程
Step 1 Review
Dictate the new words and phrases in this unit. Then check them with each other.
Step 2 Warming up & Leading in
T:Good morning,boys and girls! What health problems and accidents do we usually have in our life?
1. Please write different health problems next to the body parts. Then write more health problems you know of.
Head:have a headache
Back:have a sore back
Throat:have a sore throat
Tooth:have a toothache
Stomach:have a stomachache
Other problems:have a cold,have a fever,have a cough,cut oneself,have a nosebleed...
2. Play a game.
The teacher prepares some pieces of paper,and writes down the problems on the paper. Then the teacher gets some students to act them out. The others try to guess them and give some advice. They can use the following sentences.
S1:What’s the matter with...?
S2:Does she have.../Is she...?
S3:She should.../She shouldn’t...
While playing this game,we can let the students have a competition.
Step 3 Presentation
T:So there are lots of problems in our life. Now let’s look at this picture. What does he do?
S1:He is a doctor.
T:Now look at another picture. What does she do?
S1:She is a nurse.(板书nurse)
T:Do you want to be a nurse when you grow up?
S1:Yes,I do.
Now look at the picture in 3b. Ask and answer the questions in groups.
(1)What’s the matter with the girl in the picture?
She cut herself.
(2)What is the school nurse doing in the picture?
She is putting some medicine on the cut.
(3)What should the girl do after the treatment?
She should be careful.
(4)What shouldn’t she do?
She shouldn’t keep the cut wet.
(5)What other accidents are there in school?
We may hurt our legs or knees while running. We may fall down while playing basketball.
Step 4 Writing
1. Brainstorm.
Ask the students to brainstorm health problems that the students might encounter. Elicit and write answers on the board. Ask the students to imagine a health problem. How the problem might have happened? And what advice should be given?
2. Extend the conversation.
(1)Work in pairs. Write the conversation between the nurse and the student using the notes in 3a. Here is an example.
N:Are you OK?
S:No,I don’t feel well. I have a bad headache.
N:You have a fever. You have a bad cold.
S:What should I do now? Should I take some medicine tonight?
N:You shouldn’t be in school today. You should go home now. Take this medicine,and have a rest.
S:Thank you. I’ll go home right now.
(2)Role-play the conversation in pairs.
3. Practice in groups.
Look at the chart. First fill in the chart,and then report it.

Step 5 Cooperative inquiry
Discuss the language points in groups and fill in the blanks.
1. 询问某人健康问题的表达方法有:
(1)What’s the matter with sb.?
(2)What’s the trouble with sb.?
(3)What’s the problem with sb.?
(4)What’s wrong with sb.?
(5)What happened to sb.?
2. don’t feel well意为“感觉不舒服”,相当于feel sick/ill。
(1)feel是连系动词,意为“觉得;摸起来”,其后接形容词作表语。类似的词还有:“看起来”look,“听起来” sound,“有……的味道”taste,“有……的气味”smell。
(2)well表示健康状况时,是形容词,意为“身体好的,健康的”。
I don’t feel very well. 我觉得身体不太好。
注意:well作副词,意为“好”,修饰动词。
The boy plays football well.(其中well修饰plays)
Step 6 Self Check
1. Now look at the Self Check activities and do them by yourself.(Model the activities if necessary. Give the students enough time to do the activities.)
2. Compare your work with a partner.
Step 7 Survey
Ask your partners and fill in the chart,and then choose one to write a short conversation.
