知识目标:学习并掌握关于海洋探索的相关历史和表述。

情感目标:帮助学生了解我国经由海洋探索进行对外贸易的悠久历史,体会“21世纪海上丝绸之路”的意义,理解语篇结构和叙述手法。
教学重难点
教学重点:帮助学生了解我国经由海洋探索进行对外贸易的悠久历史,体会“21世纪海上丝绸之路”的意义,理解语篇结构和叙述手法。
教学难点:引导学生批判地思考,树立正确的史观,从人类命运共同体和全球一体化的高度探讨“一带一路”对促进多元文明交流、国际合作发展的深远意义。

教学过程:
一、Pre-reading

教师活动:(1)教师检查课前布置任务,要求学生围绕sea exploration找人类探索海洋的重要史事,如世界著名的航海家及其成就等。邀请学生分享他们找到的资料。
(2)教师根据学生分享的结果,板书学生产出的重要信息,同时利用课件展示部分较难的生词,补充相关信息。

What type is this text?
It is a narrative essay.
(Identify essay types: There are four major types of essay: narrative, descriptive, expository, and argumentative. A narrative essay is a story with a beginning, middle, and end. A descriptive essay describes a subject and lists interesting details. An expository essay is factual, giving information on a subject. Finally, an argumentative essay aims to convince the reader.)

教师可提问:
What achievements has China made in reaching out across the sea?
What effects did China's reaching out across the sea in the past have on the world?
What about other countries? Read the text again and make notes.
三、After-reading
教师活动: 教师注意引导学生关注问题的层次,启发学生思考如何获得对历史事件的客观认识。教师可提问:
Are these questions discussed on the same aspect?
When you think about one historical or contemporary event, which aspects should you consider to gain a full understanding?
2.学生活动:与同伴讨论活动5,小组派代表展示讨论结果,其他同学补充事实性信息,然后完成活动5最后一个问题的讨论,就“一带一路”的意义结合自己对前面问题的理解发表看法。
