A friend helped him put up lost dog" posters all around the city, and Anthony hoped for the best-but feared the worst. Weeks went by with no word. The worker had seen the missing dog signs around Memphis, but they weren't sure he was the same one as the dog they'd brought in. Of course, Anthony rushed to the shelter避难所to find out. CA new machine that can pull CO2out of the air could help in the fight against becoming warming. The carbon capturing 捕获equipment, called Orca, was used in Iceland in September. The name comes from the Icelandic word orka which means energy. CO2 is one of the main causes of becoming warming. Orca can take CO2 out of the air and send it deep into the ground, where it is turned into stone. Orca is made up of four parts which look like huge air conditioners put together. Each part has 12 large fans that take air from outside into compartments 隔室. Inside, the air passes through a filter which collects the CO2. It is then heated to a high temperature to collect the CO2 from the filter. Then the CO2 is mixed with water and put deep in the ground into a kind of rock called basalt 玄武岩. Basalt causes the CO2 mixture to turn into stone after two or three years. Orca is a kind of machine. It is possible to lake away CO2 from the air forever. Orca can remove 4, 000 tons of CO2 from the air each year. Thats about the same amount数量as the emission 排放 produced by 850 cars in a year. In order to take away enough CO2 to make a big difference, much larger equipment like Orca would have to be built in many countries around the world. Some environmental experts say governments should spend more time and money cutting the amount of greenhouse gas we produce each year, instead of on carbon capture methods. But others say that, in order for countries to meet their goal of zero emissions by 2050, they will need to do both: make fewer new emissions and take away the carbon dioxide already in the air. 根据材料内容选择最佳答案。()31.
