Shw a picture abut a snwman and sme children thrwing snwballs with the cmputer.
Teacher: What’s this?
Students: It’s a snwman.
Teacher: What are the children ding?
Students: They are thrwing snwballs.
Teacher: D yu play with snw in winter?
Students: Yes. / N.
Step 2. Practice
1. Drill
Teacher: Snwballs.
Students: Snwballs.
Teacher: Make snwballs.
Students: Make snwballs.
Teacher: Make snwballs and thrw snwballs.
Students: Make snwballs and thrw snwball.
Teacher: They are making snwballs and thrwing them.
Students: They are making snwballs and thrwing them.
2. Bks clsed! Ask sme questins: what are the children ding? Are the having fun? Listen t the auditape.
3. Check the answers
4. Listen t the dialgue with the fllwing questins:
What happens t Jenny?
What d Jenny and Li Ming make?
After listening answer the questins tgether. Discuss the dialgue again and make sure they can understand the meaning f the text. Deal with the language pints at the same t ime. 5. Practice in small grups.
6. Present. Ask sme vlunteers t act the dialgue.
7. Discuss: What are Jenny and Li Ming making? What d they d first? Hw many snwballs des the snwman have? Des the snwman have eyes/ ears/ arms/ feet/ a muth/ a nse? Li Ming wants t g inside. Why?
8. Make up a new dialgue. Divide the class int small grups. Ask each grup t make up a dialgue abut playing with snw.
