预备篇的主要内容为26个字母和最基本的英语日常用语。教材的编写主要是帮助那些没有英语基础的学生更好地使用本套教材，同时又帮助有一点基础的学生尽快熟悉教材中的人物，激发他们的自信心，增强说英语的兴趣。

Step 1 Warming up

Step 2 Games
1. Teacher shws a letter quickly and
asks : “What’s this?” Get the students
t answer the questins like this:
“ I think it’s A / B.”
Then shw the whle f the letter
t let the students check whether
they’re right r wrng.
2. G thrugh the letters Aa—Hh quickly, pay attentin t the intnatin. Then play a game: listen and pick the right letter, then arrange the letters in the right rder and read ludly.
Step 3 Presentatin
Teach the letters Ii—Rr, using:
What’s this in English? It’s I / J/---
Step 4 Listen, lk and say
1. Sectin A – 2a
2. Sectin A – 2c , listen t the tape and write the number f the letters in the bxes accrding t the rder in which yu hear them. Play the recrding twice and check the answer.
3. Sectin A – 2b, write the small letters fr big letters.
Step 5 A Guessing game
Teacher shws a part f a letter and
asks : “What’s this?” Get the students
t answer the questins like this:
“ I think it’s A / B.”
Then shw the whle f the letter
t let the students check whether they’re right r wrng.
Step 6 Lk and learn
1. Sectin A－3
2. Teacher shws mre special letters.
3. Ss try t think f ther special letters.
Step7 Listen and repeat
Find friends. Get the students wrk in grups f fur, and find the friends (the same vwels) fr A, E, I, O, F.
Sectin B –4, listen and repeat.
