    Well,such a machine was recently built by a by and his sister in the U.S. state f Maryland as part f a creative cmpetitin. The nt­fr­prfit Rube Gldberg Organizatin is hlding the cmpetitin.
    Every year, the Rube Gldberg Cmpetitin assigns a specific task, cnsidering inventins that use cmplex systems t carry ut a simple everyday task. At first, the task fr 2020 was suppsed t be “turn n a light”. But when the COVID­19 happened, the task was changed t “drp a bar f sap int smene’s hand. ”
    Thse taking part in the cmpetitin are schlchildren. But with schls clsed t slw the spread f the virus, rganizers changed the rules. This year, the team can include any family members and peple were asked t send in recrdings f the machines t cmpete. One thing has nt changed: The machine must cmplete the task in less than 10 steps.
    In Maryland, the Diel family wanted t enter. S, Caitlin and her brther Ben designed and built their wn Rube Gldberg machine. Next, they had t demnstrate that it culd cmplete the task­thrwing the sap just right t be caught in smene’s hand. After 106 failed attempts, they finally had success. With their vide demnstratin, they can nw enter the cmpetitin.
    Dr. Anne Glwinski teaches child psychiatry (精神病学) at Washingtn University Schl f Medicine in St. Luis. She said that “creativity and play” cnnects with children. It is better than the message. “We have t wash ur hands because f this hrrible virus. ”Glwinski added.
