Unit 1 How can we become good learners?Section A 1a-2d教案【学习目标】1. 能听、说、读、写下列词汇: textbook, conversation, aloud, pronunciation, sentence, patient2. 能正确使用下列常用表达: 1) work with friends, work with a group, ask the teacher for help, make word cards, read the textbook, listen to tapes, watch videos, practice conversations with friends, read aloud to practice pronunciation 2) learn a lot that way, improve my speaking skills, too…to…, a little nervous, give a report, a slow reader, get the main idea, word by word, be patient3. 能掌握并熟练运用下列重点句式,谈论如何学习:1) —How do you study for a test? —I study by working with a group.2) —Have you ever studied with a group? —Yes, I have.3) The more you read, the faster you’ll be.【学习重点】 句型结构:How do you study…? /I study by…【学习难点】 学会用目标语言谈论学习方法。【课堂导学过程】 【课堂导入】 Step 1: Lead-in Ask students if they like learning English and what they usually do when they study English. T: Do you like learning English? Ss: Yes. T: What do you usually do when you study English, student A? S1: I often read English books. T: (To class) Good, Student B studies English by reading English books. That’s a good way to learn English. What about you, student C ? S2: … (环节说明:通过问答,导入话题,激起学生已有的学习经验,为下一步谈论英语学习方法和策略作铺垫。) 【课堂活动】 Step 2: Presentation 1. Continue the conversation above. Present the topic sentences: T: How do you study English? S3: I listen to English songs. T: You study English by listening to English songs. (To another student) And you? S4: … Write down the sentences on the blackboard. 2. Ask students how they study English. Make them focus on the structure “I study English by v.-ing…”, especially, the form of verbs, and write them on the blackboard. 3. Ask students to look at the picture on the screen. Make students focus on the picture and encourage them to talk about it. (环节说明:利用图片学习更多的学习方法,这样学生在进行口语活动时的视野就能更开阔,同样也就更有话可说。这将有利于促成口语小对话的自然开展。) Step 3:Listening to 1b Before listening 1. Ask students to read the three names first, and then look at the picture above to get some information. Ask questions: How many people do you think there are in the conversation? /What are their names? /How many boys arid how many girls are there? /How do you know this? /What do you think they will talk about in the conversation?... 2. Ask students to guess how the people in the picture above study. (环节说明:通过浏览信息,观察图片获取信息铺垫,为获取准确的听力信息作好准备,猜测可降低听力的难度。) While listening 1. Play the recording for the first time, and ask students to write letters from 1a. 2. Play the recording for the second time, and ask students to listen and repeat, paying attention to their pronunciation and intonation. 3. Check the answers: b (Meiping); e (Peter); d (Tony). (环节说明:通过听的方式输入本课功能句型,达成知识目标。在听的过程中先听后读,培养学生学习英语的良好习惯,同时引导学生注意语音语调,争取能说标准流利的英语。) Step 4: Work on 1c 1. Ask students to talk about the people in 1b: Student A: How does Meiping study for a test? Student B: She studies by… (Ask students to use completed sentences.) 2. Get students to make up their own conversations in pairs, talking about their own ways to learn English. 3. Ask several pairs to act out their conversations. (环节说明:引导学生运用合作学习法进行初步的语言实践,鼓励学生大胆开口,学了就说,培养学生运用目标语言进行交际的能力。) Step 5: Listening to 2a & 2b Before listening 1. Ask students to read the questions in 2a. 2. Let students find out the new words: conversation, pronunciation; try reading them and ask partners for help. 3. Read the answers in 2b, and guess the answers to the questions in 2a. (环节说明:通过阅读2a中的问题和2b中的回答,获取信息铺垫;通过预测问题的答案达成对获取听力信息的期待。) While listening 1. Play the recording for the first time, get students to listen to 2a and check the questions they hear. Answers: 1,2,4,5 2. Play the recording for the second time, get students to listen to 2b and match each answer below with a question above. Answers: d, b, c, a 3. Check the answers. 4. Play the recording for the third time, get students to listen and repeat, and make students focus on the pronunciation and intonation. (环节说明:通过听的方式输A本课功能句型。在听的过程中先听后读,指导学生快速捕捉并记录有用的信息,同时引导学生注意语音语调。) Step 6: Work on 2c Ask students to make conversations in pairs, using the information in 2a and 2b. (环节说明:进行初步的语言实践,鼓励学生大胆开口,巩固所学的功能句型。) Step 7: Role-play the conversation in 2d 1. Ask students some questions about 2d: What are the names of the girl and the boy in the conversation? Who has the problem? And who’s going to help? What’s the problem? How does Jack feel at the very start? What makes him have this kind of feeling? What’s Jack’s problem when he reads? And what does Annie suggest? What’s Jack’s problem with words? And what’s Annie s advice? 2. Play the recording and get students to listen and repeat, and then role-play the conversation. 3. Ask several pairs to act it out. 4. Let students make up their own conversation in pairs and act it out. (环节说明:引导学生运用所学的功能句型,在尽量真实的语境中进行语言实践,培养学生运用目标语言进行交际的能力。) 【课后作业】用英语询问你的一位好朋友,他(她)是如何学习英语的?将此对话写在作业上,并将他(她)的学习方法整理好后写成一篇小短文。
