Step 1. Take sme bjects int the classrm, such as: a sweater, bks, flwers, pictures… Shw them t yur class. The teacher asks: “What is a hbby?” Let the students explain “hbby” in English. Listen their answers and sum: A hbby is what yu like t d in yur spare time.
Step 2. Cme t the first questin in “THINK ABOUT IT”. “What hbbies d yu have?”
Let them discuss in pairs.
The teacher may say: “If yu have a hbby, talk abut it with yur partner. If yu dn’t have a hbby, what hbby wuld yu like t have?”
Step 3. Listen t the tape with the fllwing questins:

2. What hbbies d yu knw?
Step 4. Read the text silently and check the answers. Then read the text ludly in class. Let the students read the text in class in rles.
Step 5. Ask sme vlunteers t act the dialgue ut in frnt f the class. Have a further discussin abut the text.
Step 6. Cme t the secnd questin in “THINK ABOUT IT”. “Lk at the pictures. Can yu guess what Danny’s hbby is?”

Divide the class int several grups and finish the prject. When the students are discussing, the teacher walks arund the classrm and help them if necessary.
